Way too soon to tell but looks normal at this point. What are you doing for aftercare?

Check back in a month. That's about how long it takes a tattoo to heal; 4-6 weeks. Tattoos are not something that you can look at under a microscope. Human flesh is an imperfect canvas. If you are looking for perfection, don't get tattoos. You can find something wrong with every tattoo if you look hard enough.

Well, I got a little excited at the end and didn't get a "done" photo of the tattoo but you get the idea. 🙂 The Garver pottery...OMG, I cannot believe that I own a couple of pieces. As far as I know, this was his first sale of his pottery. The shop, Ninth Wave, is owned by Dave Shoemaker and his wife. Very cool shop and super nice folks. It was an "Adorned" weekend. Side note: Bryan ended up with most of Adorned's flash and library. Pretty rad.

This past weekend, I took a little road trip to Asbury Park. It wasn't planned but I had a great time. Ended up being Bryan Kienlen's first tattoo in his new shop on Grand Opening day, had a consult with Robert Ryan then hit the Paper and Clay show at Ninth Wave Tattoo where I bought a couple of pieces of Garver's pottery.

I've been doing less and less aftercare as I get more experienced and figure out what works for me. These days, I soak in a hot tub right after the tattoo and again the next day and keep it clean and wrapped for two or three days. Then it's a little cocoa butter for another three or four days and I'm good to go. Since I started doing the hot bath, my tattoos haven't actually healed any faster, that I can tell anyway, but are much less painful. I've always been a fast healer.

Had the pleasure of meeting Darcy Nutt last night at the Carolinas Tattoo and Art Gathering. Was not expecting to get work done, was just going to look around and hang out. Saw that Darcy was there and couldn’t resist. Fits perfectly. Very very happy!

I'm planning a 3/4ths view of a Jaguar skull with a dark green ribbon wrapped around it or transitioning (the ribbon) from the background to the foreground around the edges of the skull. It's representative of me overcoming my sibling abuse that happened the first 10 years of my life

Ok all here is the final tattoo. Just got it complete today . so much better than what it was . here is before and after photos . you guys have been awesome too.
