  3. Also this one. It came out too close to reference.. I love it to bits, but still it bugs me a lot that I haven't asked to change it more. It was originally designed by Elizabeth Huxley.

  4. My humble addition! It has a bit of glue (after second skin application) on it still.

  5. mine is a bit different, but I got it well after she died. it's a minogame: a Japanese folk turtle with seaweed on its back, surrounded by waves and maple leaves. it represents felicity and longevity, and for me it represents my mother who liked fall and the ocean. death sucks, death sucks so much, but at least we can get nice tattoos

  10. Hello and welcome to the forum - others will probably be along to tell you to give it some time - and I would agree - this is a very new tattoo and you need to wait until it's fully healed to be able to have any perspective on it - give it a couple of months to fully settle in. Aftercare - I've had a couple of tattoos now and I have healed really well using Bepanthan (in small amounts) - but others will tell you (with some vigour) not to go anywhere near it. I have also healed with no ointments, herbs, spices, spells or oils at all and these have turned out equally well - so.... One piece of universal advice I think I can give is whatever you use don't use too much of it, and don't soak the tattoo (as in submerged for any length of time) in water. - What did your tattooist recommend for aftercare?

  13. My only regret is waiting til she was gone to get it, she was my biggest cheer leader while I was getting my back done

2018 was a fun one for me! Had a tree on my right arm My back done with my Kirin, sessions every 2-3weeks and loved it❤️ 2019 I've already had a tattoo to honor my mom on my right calf. I am hoping to start some work on the left side to even out😂

  17. You can't tell anything at this point, except that you are using waaaaay too much A&D. You want to use the absolute minimum so that it doesn't dry out. That tattoo looks like it's swimming. I've been using A&D for more than 8 years with no problem and even my oldest tattoos look like new, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Ditto on the nice work; that dagger through the skateboard is especially sick. Ex-skater so it struck a nerve.

  24. FOUR TIMES! I understand you are worried, but if everyone is telling you the same thing, I'm not sure why you keep asking. Blow outs suck, but they are a part of getting tattoos. And there is nothing you can do about them, so try to relax.

  25. I've never seen a tattoo that looked blown out and then later looked normal, but maybe someone else has. Listen, EVERYONE is telling you to calm down and let it heal. AFTER it heals, in 6-8 weeks, you'll know what it will look like. Here's the thing - You can't fix blow-outs, so it doesn't really matter if it's blown out or not. No, they are NOT normal, but they do happen. It's not always the artist's fault, they tend to happen more on thin, delicate skin. Tattoos are not perfect. I've never seen a tattoo that you couldn't find something wrong with if you looked hard enough. If perfection is your goal, I wouldn't get any more.

  26. What Dan means to say is.. You have to let it heal before you can accurately judge a tattoo. You can't tell if there's an issue in a week. Give it a 3-4 weeks. Go back to get it fixed if you don't like it

  32. hahaha you're a riot But seriously some of this is definitely true. I get nervous before hand and all the way out to Brooklyn still, but as soon as I enter the shop I'm chill. While getting tattooed I tried to talk as much as humanly possible--that gets me through it. And then yes, totally, that last wipe down is such a relief! And then it's on to the next month....

  33. 20 month after my first appointment, after 40h in 12 sessions, my back was finally finished a week ago. I'm so happy that I'm done for now but there are already some plans if and what possibly could be my next step towards an even more colorfull body....😋 Not sure if I'll first go for my right butt cheek and upper thights or if I'll start with my arms... But well, that's the future. Won't probably get anything new until end 2019 or even 2020. At least not until I was able to put some money aside to get it done in a foreseeable period of time.
