  1. It looks like it's still healing. Try leaving it alone, no lotion. Those bumps look like you over moisturized it. I'm very fortunate that I don't have much itching, but when I do it's usually one or two weeks after I get the tattoo.

  2. Going to finally get a tattoo at Aloha Monkey next week. A bunch of guest artists are coming in for there 20 year anniversary weekend party and I'm booked with Doug Hardy. It's going to be a good time and hopefully it doesn't hurt at all.

    Blowout?

That’s normal. A week ago I started a new tattoo. For the next 2 days the ink seeped out through the open wound. The lines became undefined and looked much wider than they originally did. You need to let the wound scab up and then let the scab naturally come off. That’s going to take 2-3 weeks at a minimum.

  5. keep a very light coat of aveeno or something on it and more importantly, let it heal, look at it again in 6 weeks,it will settle in and look fine IMO.

    Small blowouts

LOL so stop looking at your tattoo with a magnifying glass . if that is blowout, don't worry about it now, and like was said,it happens to the best of artists on soft thin skin.

  7. Thanks everyone, it was completely fine, all the redness and swelling was gone then all of a sudden it started with these small pimple like things that itched horribly, above, below, and inside the tattoo. Hopefully like you all said it’s just part of the normal healing process. Thanks for the replies and easing my mind!

  9. 4-6 weeks at least. It will lighten up. For that style I think it looks great and well applied. You're doing quite well so far!

  10. Re-read the response. You don't know what it's going to look like until it heals. 4-6 weeks. There is no point in worrying until then. There is NOTHING you can do. EVERYONE'S tattoo looks like shit while it's healing and peeling. Tattoos are not perfect. There is NO tattoo that you can't find something wrong with if you look hard enough. If you can't get past the perfectionist, I wouldn't get any more tattoos because you'll A) make yourself miserable obsessing over the tattoo or B) completely ruin the tattoo trying to "fix" it. You have a nice tattoo there, quit ruining it for yourself and just enjoy it.

  11. 1. It's way too early to know what the tattoo's gonna look like. Healing can be ugly, give it at least 3 weeks before really scrutinizing it (pro tip: don't scrutinize it at all). 2. Yes, that's a totally normal feeling. You just changed your body forever, and the reminder is right there in front of you. I've felt the same way before. It'll fade.

  12. Itching is part of the healing process. IMO, there’s no rash there. It’s just a tiny bit of slight redness

Welcome! We don't judge here, regardless of your tattoos. You have a lot of different people here in different locations with preferences in different styles. Feel free to ask around for artist recommendations. There are a lot of great and trustworthy artists out there so don't lose hope!

  16. Still healing a little bit on these, but we're mostly there. I love the way Randy Muller tied it all together - even matching styles/patterns on my other work:
