    Greetings from italy

Hello TLST! I'm Fabrizio, 21yrs old. I live in Italy and it's a pleasure to be part of this forum. I've just subscribed here but I read many topics before getting my first tattoo. Now it passed a week since I've done my forearm tattoo and It is healing properly (I guess LMAO). I will get more tattoo in the future, for sure I will continue my arm. Here it is my tattoo. This was like 3 days after, now it is peeling and it is ugly to see 😌 Lately I will post how the tattoo is after this week :) Thank you for any further help/advice. It's a pleasure to be a member here :)

  2. I don't get it either. If anything, it gave me a sense of accomplishment and overcoming of anxiety, not creating it. I think too many people today is the simplest things as the end of the world instead of just getting over it and going on with life. Not to sound like an old fart, but I think too many people today don't know what real hardship really is.

  3. As you might remember my story about almost 2 years ago and I want to thank you guys again for how much you've been uplifting me with your honesty and your words. This post tattoo anxiety seems a very common thing. It hit me as well even though I was planning on getting a big one for many years. Many people have contacted me and having those feelings seems to be a very common thing, there seems to be the same pattern that people are going through. It looks to me that nowadays people want to have a solution for everything immediately if they don't feel comfortable with something. People don't know how to be patient anymore and get rid of something if they don't like it. People compare themselves way too much with others as it's what social media does with many people's minds. There are quite a few reasons that I could write about regarding post tattoo anxiety and I was thinking about posting my experience here as so many people have been reaching out to me and I can see there seems to be a common psychological process (I just don't really have the time to write things down in detail) Anyway: I can assure to everyone with this anxiety: YOU WILL GET OVER IT and live will go on. It might take some time but you will get there. Don't be hard on yourself and even if right now you're having panic attacks (which is a horrible feeling), it'll get less and you'll come to love your tattoo. It's a change you've done to your body and now your mind needs some time to adjust. Don't forget that you love tattoos and why you love them because this is hopefully the reason why you decided to get them.

  4. I’m calm and with more than 200 hours in the chair a hell of a lot more educated than you. Also done with you. Onto my ignore list you go.

  5. I agree with @Hogrider. I can't believe you are going back for more work on that when you haven't been to the doctor for that. It doesn't look right. We can't tell you anything more. We aren't doctors.

  6. You asked for ideas. If you don’t want them, don’t ask.

  8. Mate the tattoos I have doesn’t meet my standard. The images I have are pretty much 3D realistic as can be. You’re tattoos would make me wanna burn my skin of with acid so don’t go criticising everyone thinking you’re like miss tattoo queen or something. It’s like a load of random scribble all over your legs ffs

  9. if I can’t adjust to the tattoos I have I’d get the saw out if I had anything like what you have in your picture. That’s for sure

  11. And the fact you are constantly saying tattoos aren’t suppose to be perfect questions your own insecurities about your own tattoos.

  12. How is saying to that guy that he can’t fix his tattoo helping him? Are you a tattoo removal expert? No. Millions of people have lasering fully removed or partly for cover ups. No need to be so negative towards people suffering with tattoo regret.

relaxed, slow and deep (almost meditative) breathing is how I've successfully dealt with the more tender area tattoo sessions.

    New to the game

Session number two down, we were able to get about 95% of the Black Mage colored in. I'm really happy with the detail so far, the color fill experience is definitely a different sensation than the linework. 🙂 I was talking with my artist, we'll need to come up with an idea for a border/background after the next session or so. I'll be paying more attention to how other designs handle it the next few weeks from looking at examples online. I'm sure we'll come up with something clever!

  18. Lol my tattoos are the best quality you can get and I even I pick holes in them it’s just adapting I guess it’s been 3 weeks since I got my forearm sleeve and gradually I’m improving it’s just very striking but if you don’t like a tattoo I wouldn’t look at it until you are able to fix it. It’s why I will only ever get black and grey tattoos because there fixable with lasering in the future for new art work. But I can tell you your not on your own mate I’m experiencing similar things to you. Some people on here seem to not care and try to make things 100x worse but at the end of the day you will get people who have experienced it and will guide you through it.

    Anxiety ridden canvases

I am always surprised when I see people with hand and knuckle tattoos, and they have very few others. What is up with that? So strange.

this is a thing for me,I believe face, neck, and hand tattoos are earned after being heavily tattooed on other parts of the body.

  21. They spend too much time thinking about how cool they’ll be and too little time thinking about this artist, the design, the aftercare, the stigma, and the fact that unlike on TV, having one removed isn’t a painless 10 minute process that leaves the skin looking like new. in short, they don’t think the whole thing through.

  23. Same. Just keep it clean and let it heal. Works a treat.
