  1. That's actually a really good point! I'm a nursing student and we have clear procedures that are "clean" technique and "sterile" technique. Sterile implies that you haven't just washed your hands, you also have sterile glove that are put on in a specific way directly from a sealed package. That being said, people can only do what they can at home. I know there are sterile procedures at the hospital that can be taught for people to do at home, but at home we can only teach them clean procedure. So, though not perfect, as long as people's hands are clean it's probably fine to be as clean as possible.
