  1. I can assure you that if my wedding wasn't coming up, I would be getting something from Robert Ryan between sessions with Scott. I think a tattooer doing a large, multi-session tattoo is going to understand, especially in guest spot situations.
  2. I haven't been doing much lately other than work and wedding plan (next week's the big day!) I have found time to get tattooed ( thigh panel by Scott Ellis) but the process has been moving slowly because I wanted to be healed for the honeymoon (beaches and diving and stuff). I'll be back in full post mode in a few. I know this is titled "where did the tattooers go?" not "where did the postaholics go?", but someone mentioned non-tattooers so I thought I'd chime in since I was around;)
  3. Had my second session on my thigh panel with Scott Ellis and finished the jaguar. Next up will be the background color. Sorry, but you'll have to wait until next month to see the finished tattoo:p
  4. @Dhopper I bought this one- signed by Grime AND Saber ;)
  5. Favorite part was when Rubendall asked that guy if he knew what the koi he was tattooing represented Tattooer: "No" Rubendall:"It means strength" His look of disgust was so great.
  6. First time watching tonight... "Mike Rubendal's judging Japanese- this should be good!" *rampant ignorant comments from ink masters about Japanese tattooing - facepalm.gif
  7. Scott Ellis at Triple Crown Tattoo started my 2012 Mayan jaguar thigh panel today- halfway there and already awesome:cool:
  8. February is probably going to be the next show- have to meet and get through the holidays first

  11. Aww- you flatter me :) We made a deal back when he was 15 that if he waited and passed on the sweet kitchen tats his friends were getting, I would help pay for his first tattoo in a legitimate shop. I've been hearing about that promise for three years! He sat like a champ and we all had a good time.
  12. My son's first tattoo for his 18th b-day by Ezra Haidet- Triple Crown Tattoo, ATX
  13. I hope Greg Christian makes it through for the Austin show in January- I'd love to have him do the other side of my chest.
  14. Hey now, nothing wrong with the mortuary sciences, sir.
  15. HELL YES that is a rough spot! My peacock's tail lands right on there and it was the last part of the tattoo to get color- first time I ever stopped a tattooer to catch my breath
  16. IDK- you get what you pay for. Doesn't seem to be a lot of confidence in the line work, the shading is splotchy on most of those and I can see what you're saying about the faces.
