On Friday, Rubendall is going to finish the background on my right leg sleeve. Lots of swirly bits. We will still have to finish up the crane but I'll get that done next year. On Sunday, in with Valerie for a geisha!

We're heading over next month for the show. Does anyone have some pro tips for the event? I know it's massive and all the videos that I have seen show really long lines to even get into the event. I'm wondering what time to line up to get in...I'd hate be be late for an appointment!

when did you get your tattoo?

No to a tattoo under 18. Piercings are a bit different for me but I'd want my kid to hold off on facial piercings until 17.

For me, exactly no on the eyeball tattoos. Blackout tattoos, if done well, are cool. Not for me but I can certainly appreciate (almost) any well done tattoo.

Yep, it happens. After a few times, you will have a repertoire of lovely comebacks. Most times, I take the high road but there have been a few times where I let loose on the person. It depends on the situation.

Roses have leaves. I have about a dozen different roses on my body and they all have leaves. Guarantee you that a rose tattoo without leaves would look unfinished. Don't worry about what it looks like when you raise your arm. Seriously, a tattoo is on a living, bendy, moving part of your body. And my motto, go big or go home. It's a great size and you can't tell that it is a coverup which is the primary thing. Your artist was right. I know this is hard but you need to try to get out of your head. It's a good tattoo!

Itchiness has never been a problem for me. I am very thankful for that! Overall, a little here and there but not like some people experience.

I always leave room in the budget for new art. Last year, I picked up a really cool piece from Brian Paul. I saw it and it reminded me of my mom who passed three days after Pagoda. 🙂

I use tegaderm 3-4 days, then light aquaphor for three days then lubriderm.

Thanks for the laugh at your expense. Let me ask you a question - do the ovens give you any type of burn (1st degree like a sunburn)? Are you all healed?
