Finished my backpiece with Scott!! Not posting anything anywhere public yet, but threw some pics on Instagram if anyone is interested. Username @thrilledxbored. 

Two weeks away from finally finishing my sleeve with Garver. Yeah! 

Its been a while. Just got this about a week ago.

Ok, it's been way too long - but I'm finally booked (in November) for some new work. Tine Defiore!

I'm two sessions in on a flora and fauna back piece by Virginia Elwood. The piece is covering up a somewhat ill-advised first tattoo that I got after surviving a very tough year at age 18, and I'm pushing 40 now, so it seemed like a good moment to move onwards and upwards.
I'm so in love with how it's coming out. Everyone is right about some of these spots being no joke though — 3-4 hours feels like PLENTY for one day. My next session is this week to add some more creatures in some of the spaces along the sides and hopefully start some shading. Should be "fun"!

I get it. I remember my first few tattoos being hyper focused on things, and even later ones if they would heal in new ways I wasn't used to. I'm glad that I didn't know about this site for a lot of them or there may have been some panicked posts! Patience is something that is more important with tattoos than I realized initially. I don't think most people do.

Gotta be patient and wait on new tattoos. If I recall, you posted a question recently about it. Just wait. In a month, then you can start to get a sense on how it will really look. 

There is always a chance, and yes it could be touched up. I’d recommend an adult beverage or pharmaceutical of your choice and chilling out. Absolutely nothing you can do until it heals.

The lower back was definitely worse than I expected! I actually said out loud that everyone owes 90s "tramp stamp" owners an apology.

It’s alway good to be cautious, but I wouldn’t be too worried one week out. Best of luck.
