  1. I recently got a bad depression after a tattoo but it was because of family stress that leading up to the tattoo I didn't fully process because I was so focused on the tattoo and travel logistics.
  2. I don't care about nor pay attention to trends. If I am into something, I do it. Pretty simple.
  3. Thats for damn sure! I am in my middle 40s and just getting started with the big tattoos. Our skin may be a little less smooth, but we know what we want a whole lot more clearly! Lol.
  4. Wore a bra today finally for the first time in a month. Yay!
  5. I don't understand how anyone can make absolute statements about the value of one type of art vs the other. It all has value to different people in different ways.
  6. A truly loving person would never say that or think that. Sorry.
  7. Ribs is a bold move for a first, painwise. If you really want it, and you have confidence in the artist and your ability to sit for a big painful piece, then go for it!
  8. Hooray for release! Good luck and hope it never happens again!
  9. No worries....I have been practicing flapping its flippers ....lol
  10. I am not hating on my tattoo, but it's a general tip I had not thought of.
  11. I have come to realize, after putting a large round tattoo on my back, that I have to hold my shoulders exactly how I did when the stencil was applied in order for my tattoo to look like the correct shape. Kind of a drag.....I think I was tense when the stencil went on based on how I need to hold myself. LOL. Heads up to those wanting round circles and straight lines over a large area of the back. Lots of movement back there and things may look wonky depending on your position at the time. More fluid lines may be best back there. This may be obvious to many of you, but it wasn't to me!
  12. I have opted for big pieces covering entire body parts rather than lots of small ones. It feels more cohesive to me so I guess it's an aesthetic decision. I also work a corporate job so that has governed my "look" decisions also, like no forearms etc. I also waited until my 40s to get visible or otherwise hard to hide work so I only have to struggle with clothing choices for a few years pre-retirement. When I retire in a few years my criteria will change a bit but I think big pieces will stay with me.
  13. I have one more braless week and boy am I sick of the clothing limitations after almost a month ( 2 sittings)
  14. I blew out my lower back trying to move a pinball machine about 8 years ago. Ripped all the muscles and was laid up for over a year.
