Go for it! I did one side of my stomach even though I am a slob.

jen7 got a reaction from Devious6 in In this thread, we commiserate about healing our fresh tattoos.
Put the last day in on my back Monday. Mostly shading the lower back but he did touch a lot of areas all over as well. Aquaphor so far but probably switching tomorrow or Friday to Emu oil for the rest. Feels pretty good - better session and aftereffects than usual. I have come off a lot of meds in the past year so maybe that's why it was a much smoother ride this time. Should be all set for my forearm session in a few weeks.

Appointment end of the month. Shane again. Getting a black & grey barn owl. Need to decide whether to go with photorealistic or stylized. Forearm or calf.

Tomorrow I get my back finished by Shane O'Neill at Infamous Tattoo. On the 8 hour drive to Delaware today my friend barfed all over the dash of my car not once, not twice, but three times. Now the car is going to reek for the rest of the trip.

Branding is imprecise and gives unpredictable results.
Scarification by cutting is a little less so, but still dicey...no pun intended.
You can also have permanent discomfort as with any significant scar.

I wouldn't subject your skin to something harsh like nair or waxing for at least two weeks prior either. Your skin needs to be in top shape.

I don't know if my input is as helpful as you're looking for, but I have my head tattooed and I shave regularly. By regularly I mean every two or three days. I shaved the day I got tattooed just to speed up the process so my artist didn't have to spend time doing it. After that I waited three weeks just to make sure the tattoo was fully healed before shaving again. As for itching I just dealt with it. It was only bad the first four or five days but the itch goes away. And don't worry about the hair growing through the tattoo, that's just normal. Just let your body heal before shaving again. Any tattoo I have that required more than one session needed to be fully healed before moving onto the next session. Shaving or waxing can really affect your new tattoo in a negative way since it's still a fresh, open wound.
And I think that might be a reason you suffer so much pain. 11 hours in one sitting is a lot of trauma to the skin. The longest I went on my lower leg(below the knee) was 3 hours and I had similar effects when I stood up or walked around. So I can only imagine how bad it was with a such a large tattoo.
I hope everyone's input was helpful! And good luck on your next leg tattoo!!

If you are willing to risk damaging a healing tattoo just so you don't get seen with a little stubble....

Saved the erf!
My power bill is sky high due to electrified hobbies like aquaria and orchids. This should make a dent.

I was going to wait until retirement to go past the elbow, but I am starting to think it's close enough!

i work in ed - this sounds like one dumbass educator - problem is that sometimes the educator is so seeking approval from the youth they are serving that they compromise their professional selves - now personally - i think this person should lose their professional license as it sounds like they supervised this scratchfest - i dont know about iowa - but in jersey i think they'd be in hot water and that this would be a pretty big story
