Also, if it is where I think it is, I double down on my outrage at the teacher's poor judgement. Intimate area for a minor to be getting work.

A musical symbol that indicates a hold or pause is a fermata, which is a cool symbol. A friend of mine got one to commemorate a time in his life where he was extremely ill and unable to conduct his life for a time.

This is sad.
My first tattoo was an ankle band. There's a tattoo artist who is a friend of a friend who I ran onto at a party. I started talking tattoos because I wanted more serious work in the future but when she saw what I had she literally turned her back and walked away. Years later I have more ink than her.
Don't judge. It does no one any good.

I never judge based on 'trendiness'. if someone sat through a tattoo and are wearing it for life, that's badass no matter the design.

I have opted for big pieces covering entire body parts rather than lots of small ones. It feels more cohesive to me so I guess it's an aesthetic decision. I also work a corporate job so that has governed my "look" decisions also, like no forearms etc. I also waited until my 40s to get visible or otherwise hard to hide work so I only have to struggle with clothing choices for a few years pre-retirement. When I retire in a few years my criteria will change a bit but I think big pieces will stay with me.

I don't understand how anyone can make absolute statements about the value of one type of art vs the other. It all has value to different people in different ways.

Actually, i got tattooed by that same artist at one point years later and brought it up. She admitted it was a snob move and apologized.
