  1. It definitely my family's coat of arms but thanks for your concern. My last name is rare enough that it doesn't even show up on those coat of arms sites anyways haha. I just don't know if it would work well as a thigh tattoo and if so should it be on the front, side, or back. - - - Updated - - - It definitely my family's coat of arms but thanks for your concern. 2. Everyone is talking about how pointless a black light tattoo is but I always thought it would be cool. Granted I don't know much about the possibilities of black light tattoos but isn't it possible to get a black light tattoo to high light a colored tattoo. I'm very partial to the idea of get a vibrantly colored jellyfish tattoo and get spots of it done in black light. Something like this.
  3. I've always enjoyed thigh pieces so I've thought about getting my family coat of arms done on the front of my thigh, any thoughts? Or maybe on the back of my thigh?... Or not on my legs at all?
  4. Keep it! If you don't hate it don't change it. You don't want to regret covering up your first tattoo if you're just doing it for your girl.
  5. I think in general getting a tattoo of fireworks that look realistic is a difficult job for any tattoo artist, so I wouldn't say it's a bad tattoo. However, if you really are just not happy with it I wouldn't suggest just trying to get used to it. If you don't like it, let it heal and then cover it up. I don't know how a tattoo artist would fix that to make it look better and you don't want to risk spending the money and ending up with another tattoo you don't love.
  6. Hello, I'm a newbie but a long time tattoo enthusiast. I have yet to get my first tattoo but am looking to get that soon and hit the ground running. I already have many plans/ideas for tattoos but joined this site in order to get insight and recommendations from other people who know tattoos best. Looking forward to learning a lot and to start covering my body in art! - - - Updated - - - Actually, if anyone is feeling up to dishing out some advice right now I need some help! One of the tattoos I am looking to get is my family coat of arms. Being a female I'm not quite sure where the best place on my body to get this done is. Obviously the back in between the shoulder blades is a good spot but I'm unsure as to whether or not I want to reserve that spot for a different tattoo I might get down the road. So where else would be a good spot for this?? Thanks!
