  1. Eczema maybe? And welcome
  2. My artist recommended a dry heal this time. I left it for the first three days, and have put a bit of A&D on it the past few nights. Just started to flake, so maybe tomorrow night I'll use a bit of Aveeno if it's done.
  3. I've found one so far on my calf. Definitely a product of the razor, as it was in a clear patch of skin. Now I'm just hoping i don't find more!
  4. I'm with ya there, I've only been to one artist as well. I feel like the minority but after striking gold once I have a hard time trusting my body with anyone else!
  5. On day four of my calf and it's doing well. It was only linework this session, but I'm still surprised that it's not peeling yet. The area at the top of my foot where the tendons connect looks like it will be the first, if it happens at all. Worst was the first two days, hobbling around the first and then trying to wear my work boots that come to midcalf the second. Can't wait to deal with how it'll be when we do the shading. Then I think about the color and I'm like fuuuuuuu...
  6. Indeed. There's definitely a place for this stuff, but there's no way I'd give em my skin. I personally think the shops that don't go full bore with social media, specials and adverts are a bit more classy. Plus it preserves that feeling of being almost part of an underground community.
  7. First post with a hyperlink to a probably virus ridden site? Probs, yeah. Haha
  8. Welcome! Show us your stuff!
  9. Well thanks man! I always wondered what other people thought of my ink, not necessarily in a judging way but whether they dug it. Glad to hear me and my artist aren't the odd ones out! Today was good. Started to chafe a bit on my ankle, but I think it was more shaved legs plus high work boots. It is much better now, might be about ready to peel! Next time we'll do the shading, April 18th. Nervous for that on my ankle/Achilles, but pain is temporary!
  10. That is so awesome man! Well done, I envy you!
  11. Thanks man! Luckily I got the night after off (back at it tonight), so I got my nine hours and enjoyed a lazy morning with my dog. It was a lot of fun to pick his brain while he worked. "Whispering" Danny, the owner of both Exile and it's partner shop next door walked by and was complimenting Nathan on the line work. Had an old biker say it was rad and one of the other artists say "Holy shit man, is this your first?!" haha. I posted pics in the lowdown board, they're also in my gallery. Definitely gonna milk it for two days next time though, I enjoy having an excuse to pit my feet up and veg out!
  12. Thanks man! Can't wait to start my color on it!
  13. Nice black and grey man! If I wasn't addicted to color I'd be right there with ya haha.
  14. Whew, I didn't know if I could sit through all this. Even Nathan was skeptical, but I wanted to finish. We didn't get a full on battle scene, but I loved what he came up with even more, especially the detail in the drowning hand, the ship, and of course, Poseidon's luscious locks!
  15. Well, the outline of my calf is done. Most fun I've had recently. Hurt like a bitch on the ankle bone and Achilles tendon, but well worth it. Next appointment on the 18th i will post pics tomorrow as the wrap is still on
  16. https://instagram.com/p/il_Xp2oR9t/ A good flash sheet from my artist. I would get the little lady on the right if I thought my girlfriend would ever let me back in the house haha!
  17. Could always have the shark chewing on something too.
