  1. Send your friend to Stewart Robson @ Modern Classic Tattoo, I've seen him do some amazing cover ups. At the least he might be able to give your friend some real advise ssuch as lightening the tattoo with a couple laser sessions before he goes in for the cover up, that way the tattooer has a little more freedom...

  2. Just got done with my chest/half sleeves from Horitomo at State of Grace. Took me a couple of years to get it all done since I had to fly there and book back to back sessions. First, here is a pic of my fucked up tattoo that I got when I was 18. Horitomo touched it up and incorporated it with his art. SOrry not sure why some photos are posting sideways, I have it upright when I loaded them.

holy fucking shit! Everything about those tattoos are perfect! Congrats man, you're stoked!!

  3. My place to crash for the weekend just flaked. I feel like this happened last year :(

If anyone wants to give up their hotel room floor I'd be glad to pay up some cash. I can't afford a room and I have an appt on Friday that I can't miss... I won't miss, it'll just make it easier if I have a place to crash on Friday night.

Anyone at the Hyatt or near by for Thursday and/or Friday night?

Change of plans, I'll be at the convention Saturday and Sunday if I can find a spot to crash on Saturday night. My appt. With Stewart is Sunday at 12 :)

  5. Enjoy @ian. If you stop by State of Grace after I will not be there this time. I had to move my Saturday appointment. Your back looks awesome and I can't wait to see when more is done.

What a trip so many of our appointments lined up like that?!??

I want to grab some convention posters but I might not be passing SOG on my route this time...

  6. I'm planning on being there. No appointments but this year's list of artists is absolutely outstanding. I'm curious about Grime's or Gogue's lecture if space is available.

Would definitely love to meet up with LSTers too.

Grime said he knows what he has planned, he just wouldn't say which is no surprise.... I'm seeing him Friday for a session on my back...

  7. I'd go but I refuse to pay $40 for one day plus a mysterious $6 fee. I understand there's a lot going on for your money, I guess it's just not my scene and I'd rather support tattooing than a bunch of bands I don't care about and a bunch of unfinished 'show cars'...

I'm not trying to shit on your parade, it'll be a fun time, just not my thing I guess. If you want to go to a real tattoo convention hit up the SFO convention put on by State of Grace in October...

  8. Andre is the man, that piece is UNREAL!! I had a session with Grime yesterday, Andre hung out most of the day and I FINALLY took delivery of the 2 watercolor paintings I bought from him. He's a bad ass tatooer, expect big things from that man in the future, between his own amazing style and whatever the Skull and Sword guys do to influence his style he''''s going to be killing it.

If Grime wasn't doing my back, Andre would be. No question.

  9. Sick helmet. How many sessions in are you now?

that is 5 sessions. I'm so stoked with the progress and I'm determined to save any extra money to go up and get this finished. I couldn't be happier with it :)

@ThatGuy - I love when I gawk at awesome shit on IG and then find out it's on a poster! Totally worth the nausea. :)

I am not sure if I ever posted my completed back on here. Done by Stephanie Tamez at Saved in Brooklyn, from summer 2012 to summer 2013. I loved the journey and love the tattoo(s?) and it feels like it's been on my back forever. The map was my first ever tattoo from a long long time ago that we worked around, although she pumped it up a bit to integrate it into the larger composition.

    very beautiful...
