  1. I've been thinking about this. I wonder if eating a good meal that includes a really good complex carbohydrate like brown rice and drinking water wouldn't work better. The complex carb should provide plenty of the sugar that gets burned up...coke (or any drink with a lot of caffiene) is a diuretic...so it will dyhadrate you, so I think by getting your sugar that way (through a coke) you are just potentially creating another issue (dyhyration). If you are really worried about not having enough sugar then I would eat a pice of fruit in addition to the complex carb. Candy makes me crash and makes me thirsty too. Then after you should definately replenish your sugar supply with some good beer. ;)
  2. Thanks for the reassurances. I'm sure I am worried over nothing.
  3. This is causing me to lose sleep at night...its either going to be completely badass, or a complete failure (that is my fear). UGH.
  4. Ok, thanks. I think I just needed someone to calm me down.
  5. I did a lot of shopping for an artists work I like. We spent about 10 minutes discussing the design I am interested in. The design isnt crazy. But I am curious to see how he is going to lay out the nebula I am looking for. I am NOT an artist. I picked this guy because I love his work. I made my appointments in April. My first appointment is June 6th. My question is...is it appropriate to stop into the shop and discuss my design with him again before my first appointment? I thought I could swing by when he has a bit of downtime and bring in a small gift or something (like a decent bottle of tequila or something). I guess I dont want him to forget what we discussed...on the other hand...I dont want to be "that guy". I dont want to be a pain in the ass. Thanks.
  6. I initially got a couple of tattoo's while i was in the Army. My Dad had a tattoo and I thought it was pretty cool. I grew up in a middle class area and NO ONE had tattoos except guys like my Dad who had served in the military. I thought they were pretty cool...I felt they represented something unique among these guys that otherwise seemed pretty boring and normal. I got a couple of (bad) tattoos. Well, they arent the worst, but I dont feel they represent me anymore. Its been a long time since I got them and my life has changed...I want art that represents my life now...I like how Kev put it, the outward symbol of an inward change. So fitting! So...fast forward about 25 years from my first tattoos and I finally feel comfortable with what I actually want to cover the old work I had done as a kid. I am so impressed by the quality of work being done by artists today. I've always wanted my upper arms covered completely. I am planning on getting a panther head on my calf like my Dad's in honor of him. I'm glad my tattoo "dream" is finally happening.
  7. Hi, I was referred to this site by Aahzz...I had some questions about tipping and I have found really good information here. I am having a half sleeve started in a couple of weeks...I havent got a new tattoo since 1986...a lot has changed, LOL! I am getting my old tats covered and I am super stoked about having them done. I am having the work done by a guy named Ryan Willard out of Marion Street Tattoo in Denver. Anyway, I love this site! Thanks.
