  1. I have the same issue, but more so with my back and ribs, So where do I put every thing else I want but still have it look good.

I had a brilliant idea a few months back, instead of sitting for hours on hours for a "sleeve" to be finished, We broke it up, not only does it cut back on the wallet but it also still allows me to get my "fix" for the month and still have plenty of work to be done. And seeing as we're almost finished my right arm we took a few months off... (and yes it's driving me mad not being tattooed but it also allowed me to get my truck I wanted.

To be honest I'm kinda liking how my plan as worked, it cut back the bulk of the worry of "oh no.. I'm covered already and still want more!"

  2. That's almost exactly the reason I'm happy I never got my apprenticeship, I began to realize that with all the frustration I'd be happier to just draw them for my friends every once in a while then to slowly begin to hate what I love to do, that allows me a moment to relax, therefore sticking to a job I love that allows me to take out my frustration with "clients" via stupid little things.. :)

  3. I didn't really see anything on this when I searched so correct me if I'm wrong for posting this as a new thread...

I was working on the drawing for my leg, and had an idea to do the fern I'll be adding sort of as a transition into the bottom of my leg, and the thought crossed my head to do it with three real fern becoming a Hawaiian band. But then I was looking at it and remembered that it's almost an insult to do that, frowned upon by the Maori. Which after a bit of looking around I found the Kirituhi.

What I can't figure out is what is it about the designs that actually truly distinguish one from the other...

Any answers from you more versed tattooer's and collectors?

  4. @ Costello- Their a little bit more nit-picky on tattoo coverage on the east coast, especially in the area I live.

@ Gouge- Yep, upper thigh is already started, right arm is almost finished (minus undersides of both arms) As for my back, I have to get some lazer work done before I do anything to it. That and trying to figure out exactly how to draw it up is giving me a headache.

Ah well one day :) Until then I'll drool over all the pictures.

  5. Work in Alameda County. We dont give a shit out here. At least for the next two months before this new company takes over.

Haha, I wouldn't mind Alameda. However I'm heading into law enforcement, and while their a little bit more lenient on Emt's/ and Medics, not so much the case with the po-po. So nothing below my elbows and nothing on my neck. I only get away with my wrist tattoos because their covered by my watch and hair ties at all times.

  6. I didn't think there was ever really technical terms to them, other then light rays (in ref to the all seeing eye) I actually just drew one of those up for my friend and that's exactly what he called it. But when I'm going to my artist i usually bring a drawing ive done or a ref picture like others said.

  7. I found the others I wanted to post of Nessels...

The first one, she just had to play on my lap top.. and yes she actually was sitting there "typing" before I pushed her over and she still continued to push the keys

The third was after I got woken up by the flying corgi alarm clock Clancy, Ness came in, jumped up and laid down next to me and put her paw into my hand, and started purring away.

  8. This is Nessels, she's not really mine, but she stays in my room when I go out to my aunt's ranch. And when my aunt does her yoga stretches she joins in..150213_457570177622_558857622_5975990_3426497_n.jpg

And then there are these two. Also not mine, but when I'm out in CO. visiting they stay/sleep with me. (forgive me I've drawn a blank on their names) Their brother and sister...I have video of them some where too.

This is the sister, last thanksgiving I went out and we were deep frying two turkeys and using the buckets to let them sit in the marinade, But before we could we found this!234170233.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJF3XCCKACR3QDMOA&Expires=1312249064&Signature=z%2FJF6A9DkpOAE4U%2Fii8Zv%2BpUjEI%3D

    BUCKET CAT!

  9. When I first saw/heard of Kat Von D I thought wow, an attractive young woman who's a good artist maybe she'll give us heavily tattooed women a better name. How wrong I was. It's too bad what happens when young people get famous, then rich, then acquire a drug/drinking/sex addiction. Now she's just out there making it worst for women like me who haven't slept with the entire tattoo/music community.

Some one asked me after I started my second half sleeve and my leg at the same time if I was trying to be the next Kat (I draw tattoos for friends but do not tattoo) Unfortunately my temper got the better of their face with my fist.

  10. Pocket watches... and Belt buckles. No I'm not from texas haha. My dad gave me his pocket watch that belonged to his dad, and while I was out in Colorado I got two more. As well as about 4 or 5 belt buckles. Nothing fancy but they have a meaning. :) I even incorporated the pocket watch from my dad into his memorial tattoo :)

  11. Ever since I turned 21 and had a shot of Tully I've been hooked, and when I'm really itchin for a fight/ shenanigans I go for Makers Mark. I guess it all depends on my mood what I drink, I like Jameson but rarely drink it. Though my all time favorite has to have been the 12 yr old Tully my friend brought back from Ireland this last summer. Good lord... theres a picture some where of it.

"You ok?" ...... "Yep, just on fire..." "I'll take another please!" "but you just said..." "Yeah Give me another!"

  12. Haha Sweet, lol down fall of the internet no voice definition to tell jokes :-p

I think I actually have that book, suppose to do some hike up above trenton.. in Lambertville. Amber and a few other of her people at Amber's Blue Velvet up in Langhorne

  13. We have a famous bridge that say's Trenton Makes The World Takes.I don't know what they mean by that, but I'll tell you Trenton does make some of the nastiest hookers on the east coast.

First things first, Names Liz, 23 grew up in Bucks Co, Pa (20 mins north of philly) right across the river from Trenton, literally I crossed that bridge a lot, still do every once in a while. I'm a full time EMT (hence a lot of those medical replies of mine). I'm also a volly Fire Fighter, however now currently in Newtown (still bucks county) I spend my days hiking and frolicking about the woods all over the area and at night draw tattoos, for my friends, creep on here while playing COD.... or sitting at work contemplating what new shenanigans to cause. My first tattoo was when I was 18 and even though I hid it from my mom for 2 weeks she wasn't mad and pretty much figured I'd get one since I was little. My current gallery of ink is compromised of two half sleeves (mostly finished aside from underneath of my arms.) a back piece I plan on getting lazered and covered up, my t-rex leg piece and my wrists. I'll be finishing my right arm that's still in progress and then put my ink collection on hold until I get through the Police academy.

To answer your thing about the "Trenton makes the world takes" it has to do with the area back in the 19th century. If you cross the bridge over to the pa side, and go down past morrisville you arrive at the Steel Mill, still in active use just not as used as much it was. Big on industry Trenton adopted the slogan way back and it stuck :) Trenton was big in making rubber, ceramics and cigars. It was shipped out at the port in the mill...Ok so I may be a slight history buff too :p
