  1. No problem. Also ticket was taken by the shop guy from where I get tattooed. Sorry to anyone who caught this late.
  2. So this might be a long shot but screw it. I have a free ticket for anyone who wants to see Suffocation, Pyrexia, Dehumanized, Torturous Inception, Day Of Doom, tonight at Webster Hall. Let me know! @daveborjes I know you like metal and are in the area.
  3. Yea welding can be tough on skin. Nothing was more fun that getting "sunburned" when I was welding a lot (without proper protection).
  4. It is very, very common to get a tattoo over one that you have removed. Actually it is usually suggested to get the tattoo removed before you tattoo over it.
  5. For those who like Meshuggah here is a band I just ran across not too long ago. (Dual vocalists still feels weird to me) I consider this fantastic DSBM (that is if your into it) Then of course all out brutal black metal from my northern neighbors in Canada. Im actually seeing them tonight in Brooklyn.
  6. Holy shit the never ending stream of tattoos continue. Mind boggling. And to think I was even gonna attempt to enter one of mine. Keep em coming!
  7. I was actually going to put an order in for one of these a few weeks back. I love that damn thing.
  8. ^^^ THIS! If I drink at all a few days before I get tattooed, my nerves get fried quick and generally am shittier throughout the process. My tattooer and I talked about this and he did bring up that alcohol is a poison, so kinda "duh" logic. I try to get as healthy as possibly (with good sleep) before sessions now. Makes a 100% different, so much so that he even mentioned that I sat like a damn rock for 3.5 hours straight on my knee.
  9. While I don't necessarily do vintage audio stuff, I dabble in the audio field in terms of gear. I consider myself to be a noobish audiophile expert. Generally you end up checking out tubed gear and some vintage stuff simply due to the audio characteristics of vintage stuff.
  10. I remembered this thread and thought about it recently. I've been doing back-to-back tattoo sessions the past month or so, and I can say it really wacks your immune system hard. That or I have really weird timing. I ended up getting the flu one day after a big back-to-back tattoo weekend, a few weeks ago. I just had a pretty brutal tattoo weekend this weekend, and I ended up getting a pretty bad cold all week. I can't say for sure they are related but the obvious thing is, if you are sick and trying to heal a big tattoo, it can slow down the process drastically.
  11. Damn you got some good results right there, looks a lot better than my leg at the moment. I forgot to grab some Tegaderm from Garver when I left my session, and I can't seem to find it anywhere locally.
  12. Yea dragon got worked on, on Saturday, then a brutal 3.5 hour session on the knee demon. Still just a pile of uncomfortable right now.
  13. So I just ran across this really cool short film of Duncan X from Into You Tattoo, UK. Really cool stuff. MPC - Mr X Short Film
  14. Actually never listened to them. Im gunna check em out now. Thanks for the heads up!
  15. Yea I can agree you have to be in the mood to listen to them (or similar). I'm very much warming up to them, but haven't been much in the mood for the technial stuff at the moment. It's been all Swedish Melodic Black metal and thrash!
