    i've seen lungfish and the pupils, might see skull defekts here in march. that record is great. i never bother with the banjo/jaw harp bullshit. but thats just me.

    this post has me thinking...i usually just go with my first idea and draw things once. maybe i should draw it twice or more and see what happens...????

    from what i'm seeing around facebook, it looks like girlheads with a wolf, panther, tiger, goat etc head on top.

    totally depends on the image. most of what i'm asked for, i can draw pretty quickly, 20-40 minutes. a lot of my "custom" pieces are done as walk-ins, so i actually draw a lot of my stuff pretty quick and hardly ever draw at home. i actually spend more time on drawings for regular customers (meaning not seeking me out specifically) since those tattoos tend to be more outside my comfort zone, so it takes me a little longer to visualize it, then work it out on paper. i prefer drawing at the shop, since there's a copier and a ton of reference, and i do reference EVERYTHING. but i do like painting at home, after the woman and child have gone to bed.

    no need for controversy, higgs is not jesus, though some people treat him like he is. your opinion is your opinion! express it. there are whole lungfish albums i don't like.

    dan is singing in a new band, he has joined the swedish band SKULL DEFEKTS. the album came out today and it is awesome!

    i met my girlfriend/future wife in brooklyn 2007. i was doing a guest spot at saved tattoo, she was my final appointment on my last day there...we immediately knew we'd be together. after visiting her every month for 9 months, she moved here form new jersey in 2008. i owe EVERYTHING in my life to tattooing.

    i won't be working it, but i'll be there late saturday night and most of sunday. getting tattooed by juan on sunday.

    last saturday i played a miles davis lastfm station...it was on for about 5 hours. it was awesome. also done 5 hours of smog.

    there's a certain uk tattoo blog that is part of the problem. they have posted info about peoples' visits to the uk and where they are working, potentially creating a bad situation for the tattooers they mentioned. myself and a few others have boycotted this blog based on this and the fact that the kid just takes pics off peoples' facebooks and posts on his blog...

    i work in a street shop. our customers hardly ever ask to see portfolios, partly because we have a long and good reputation. but my book is all my custom stuff in my style. and it's more for my clients and/or people who might search me out or might be attracted to my style. if a "regular" walk-in customer asks to see it, i hand it to them and say something like "there's no lettering (or celtcic, tribal, whatever) in here, but look for clean lines and solid, bright color". then they kind of get it. i started out in a smaller city, and had to do all my "cool" tattoos on friends or friends of friends for cheap, so i can sympathize. that's why i left.
