  1. Cherry Blossom Studios is looking for a skilled tattooer to join our team here in Fayetteville NC. This is large military town and there is money to be made here. This shop has a top notch reputation and our clientele search us out and get larger pieces as the norm.

You must be a skilled tattooer with a great foundation in the basics of tattooing. Skills in realism are a plus. We are known for clean solid work so you must be able to fill that need. All frosting and no cake will not fly here. We are a fully custom shop so you must be able to draw.

If you are interested send me a link to your portfolio and a list of references to [email protected]

  2. Basically, its like this. Go try to color on a black piece of construction paper. Not gonna happen. Our skin is like a sheet of paper.

Not actually. The reason dark skin doesn't "take" color is that tattoo ink is placed below the layer of skin that contains the natural pigment. The color is in effect being shown thru a filter tinted by the skins pigment. Depending on the warm or cool values of the skin you can determine what colors will show up best. Example yellows don't show well in warm skin tones.

  3. every damn show on tv is exactly the same theses days. Hollywood has absolutely no creativity any more. Think about it, when was the last time you saw something truly original come out of that cesspool. I just saw the trailer for a remake of Total Recall yesterday. Granted it looks cool but damn get a new idea people.

  4. Thanx for the welcome. I just realized I need to proof read my posts before I hit submit. I didn't "won" the shop I own it lol. This is what happens when I post without enough coffee.

  5. Cherry Blossom Studios in Fayetteville, NC is looking to add another artist to the shop. We are a fully custom shop with a solid clientele. A motivated artist will be able to do really well.

The shop has a great reputation and is in a relatively recession-proof town. We also have close connections with many of the art groups and the Arts Council so opportunities to showcase your work in other mediums are available.

Artist must have a solid portfolio and references. Artists run as true independent contractors and we have a very artist-favored pay system.

  6. This is our shops healing instructions.

There are many different theories on aftercare for tattoos. We always recommend you follow the instructions of the artist that did your tattoo. They are, after all, the ones responsible for touch ups and many artists will not guarantee their work if you don't follow their instructions.

These are the instructions we here at Cherry Blossom give to our clients:

Leave bandage on for couple hours

Wash your tattoo with cool soap and water. Make sure you get all the blood and ointment off.

Let the tattoo air dry for 15-20 minutes.

Apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor. Rub it until it

goes completely away. There should be no shine.

You will know to apply more when the tattoo

feels tight. If it doesn’t feel tight do not apply

    more Aquaphor.

Do Not pick or scratch your new tattoo.

Do Not soak your tattoo in water. No swimming, hot tubs

or baths. Showers are fine, just don’t soak it.

Keep the tattoo out of the sun until the return of

    Jesus.

  7. Spots with lots of movement tend to be the hardest to heal followed by places that don't get to breathe much. I had one client that when we did his ditch he actually splinted his arm at night to keep it as immobile as possible and it healed the best I have seen for the ditch. Also keeping these areas too moist causes a lot of issues in healing. You only want just enough to take that tight, dry feeling under control.

  8. This sounds like a shop owned by a non tattooer.

I now work in a shop where the staff all wear uniforms... Not like a Taco Bell uniform or anything, but a shop t-shirt, black shorts and black shoes. Not bad really, but this is the first time, I've worked at a place with a uniform policy.

Has anyone ever been to a place like this? Whether or not you have, what are your thoughts on uniforms in a studio environment?
