  1. Anyone going to MDF this weekend? I'll be there Sunday for Electric Fucking Wizard!!! Also YOB, Saint Vitus, Church Of Misery etc.!
  2. Does anyone have or has seen the "Skinned Alive" dvd? It's a documentary about the correlation between skateboarding & tattooing. LST's Tim Hendricks has an interview & a part where he tattoos Eric Dressen's back. Eric Dressen also has an interview where he brings up Clay Decker who I saw just joined the forum. It also has the Godoy brothers, Fred Smith, Mark Mahoney, Danny Romo, Neil Heddings, Bill Danforth, Jason Jessee & a few other dudes. It's worth it just to see the Jason Jessee part...shit's hilarious!
  3. I'm 36 & still trying to keep the skateboarding going. Nowadays its mostly smaller mini ramps & ditches or cruising hills. I still try to skate street but I seemed to have lost the majority of my tricks (was never good at flip tricks) hopefully I'll get some of em back this summer. Honestly as long as my legs still work I wanna skate as long as I can whether its transition or skating to the liquor store on a cruiser board. Anyone have any skateboard related tattoos? I got the Powell winged ripper skull on my chest & another smaller skate & destroy one.
  4. Made the trip down from NJ. Got tattooed by Mike Wilson & Aaron Coleman! So many good tattooers there it was hard to not get a third one. Fun times!
  5. I've got some experience in getting my scars covered by tattoos. My legs (mainly my shins) are seriously scarred from skateboarding or the lack of being able to skate . I decided to have Chad Koeplinger tattoo a huge torch from my ankle to my knee on my right leg & he did a fucking great job. I think he made a comment of my skin being the most disgusting hes ever tattooed or something to that effect. On the inner part of my left leg bending around to the shin I had Jef Whitehead tattoo a tiger with a dagger thru its head & he did a stellar job as well but did comment on how light the machine was hitting & the skin was still tearing a bit. My point is you'll be fine with a small scar like the one your gonna be covering just listen to what everyone already said & do your homework on a finding a competent artist. Sorry for the long winded post...
