This is where I'm up to with my back piece so far. Got a few more months to wait before I can get some more done.

Pretty much recognize that ass anywhere at this point.

I was super stoked with Mike posted pics of the "Asian Sensation" @ironchef 's back today.

Little Oni I picked up from Chad Koeplinger today. Super stoked on it.
Done in one hour flat. Such a beassssst.

Dan santoro did this for me as a walk in a couple of days ago! Waited 7 years so feels good to have waited and finally got it done.

Got this from Scott Sylvia over the weekend, very happy with it (stole the pic from blackhearts IG). Gonna go back to Blackheart for their walk in day in a couple weeks too.

Sorry for the poor phone shot but there is the progress...super stoked background finished up this past weekend.

Finished off my ribs with William Yoneyama, was a longer session than the first but so much harder, nearly tapped at one point but powered through. here's a snake preview, will post a full shot when it's healed.

Just Had the best two days ever, got to hang with some tattoo royalty get tattooed and spend an early Valentine in a cool hotel with my mrs, first I got my thigh / knee Tattood by Tim Hendricks

Then I got my side / ribs done by Matt Arriola a day later

I'm feeling a bit tender now, but it was totally worth it, pain killers and booze? don't mind if i do :D

Sessions 1-5 by Aaron Bell...16.5 hours on the clock so far.

Killer Don Nolan design! I remember getting this design sheet when I was just starting to assemble some equipment from spaulding rogers back in '90...anyone know what year it was drawn?

I posted an earlier pic of this chest piece, but today Tim Pausinger at The Pearl in Toronto finished things up. I'm super pleased with the results. Tattooing on and around nipples sucks. Worth it in the end though. Now, planning for an epic back piece begins.

Got my feet done by Aaron Coleman last night. Great guy, super happy how they came out, and he was fast enough to get both done before I completely wussed out.

They wrap a bit, but you get the picture.

Okay -- so it's not the best picture of me. Lay off, guys!

Quick update. State of Grace and Horitomo released more prints so naturally I had to add to my wall. Filled in this space so far. Have six more pieces to place elsewhere in the apartment. Will provide another update shortly. LOVE the MonMon cats!!!

Perhaps not the right place for this, but as a follow up to the no drawing rose painting/video I posted last week, here's a no stencil/no drawing rose I convinced a friend to let me put on him tonight. Sorry if this could have gone in a better place, since it's not painting-related...


(the anchor and lily barely visible on his calf was my 14th tattoo, 13th if you don't count the one on myself to start things off)

Ink on washi. My first time trying this kind of painting, and I'm pretty proud of it despite its many faults. I'd like to do much more like this.

I can officially add "appointment with Horitomo" in my upcoming tattoos list! Scheduled for end of April/beginning of May. Very excited!
So much for my "I'm done until I have enough money for my back" and "have to let husband get tattoos too" statements!

The beardo on the left is a fireman. The bold letters on his front identifies him as being in the "Chi" group of firemen. The text on his right identifies where he's from Sensoji in Asakusa, Tokyo. I believe it was common for firemen to get tattooed for id purposes if they died on the job.
