USA folks will need to wait a little for the NTSC version, sorry. Although it will be available to watch online from 17th Feb.
Parts Two, Three & Four well.. don't hold your breath... They'll come eventually - remember, I'm a one man band.
Thanks for the interest so far.

I hope they make the exhibition catalog available to the public online/mail. Otherwise I would ask a big favor of anyone attending to help me grab a copy. I saw what look like a sneak preview of it on FB and it appears to be a bound hardcopy:

He drew this on in quite an awkward space between two pieces on my leg. Super nice guy, had fun getting this one.
    First time in Frith Street!
And I robbed this picture from Frank's Instagram btw

Wow @RScott that sleeve is amazing!!!
And @Synesthesia that rabbit is looking so nice!
Here's the fox I got yesterday from Ron Wells, tough to get a good photo. Was supposed to fly in, get the tattoo, and fly back out last night but due to the snow storm I'm now stuck in NYC until tomorrow. So getting this little guy has turned into an unexpected vacation / adventure / chance to hang out with old friends.

Finished up this piece with Martin Lacasse at Olde City Tattoo in Philly. Based off of a Yoshitoshi print from 28 Famous Murders With Verse. Couldn't be happier.

@irezumi Those sculptures are so cool. Looking at the New York Botanical Garden website, it seems like this is an annual thing? I'll have to get down for it at some point...if the King's Ave de Vita thing is an annual thing as well maybe I could go down and do both on the same trip.
Those sculptures remind me of a topiary exhibit the Montreal Botanical Gardens had this past summer. I thought it was super amazing to see this stunning examples of this art form that I only vaguely knew existed. Here are some pictures from it:

The pictures don't really get the scale of them, the way they move in the breeze and fit in the landscape, but it was pretty incredible stuff. Sometimes people do some really fucking cool things.

Here's a fully of the progress so far, not just butt teasers from Dana's Instagram (though no one was complaining.....). I had a little fun and struck my best rear "relaxed" pose from my bodybuilding days. My internet personality is way more interesting than in real life. But hey, we're all just in it for the "likes" anyhow, amirite?!

Photo heavy post... I'll include the captions from the Life article where appropriate. Not going to post the whole Irezumi book because there's lots of images, and there's something magical about flipping through that thing... some things are best discovered through some digging. These are by far the coolest shots from it, though.
The tattooer they cover is called Apache Harry. There's a shot of his travel kit and flash set up on the first page. He has a sign reading "Tattoos Removed Without Scars. Apache Harry. #22 Bowery NYC."

"For decorating 'Six Ring' Dutch and other clients, tattooist Apache Harry makes $3,000 a year."

"Front view of Michael Brandmaier. His 300 designs by Apache Harry are worth $400."

"Rear view of Michael Brandmaier. It took four years to tattoo him all over."

" 'Professor' Wagner is responsible for this girl's condition."

    Irezumi, 1966.

It's been a little bit since I posted in here. Loving everything about my new surroundings. Great friends, great shop, healthy living, 20 minutes from any one of three mountain trails and 30 minutes from 3 more. Morning hike/runs every day at mentioned trails and snowboarding as much as possible. Getting the snowmobiles and trailer ready to go for next week.

I have a favorite little tree friend that I see every hike on Eagle Wind Trail. An awesome name, and named so for the Golden Eagle nests right on the crest of the ridge.

A really cool art show I went to at the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx; at least 50 or 60 landmark NYC buildings and houses made of nothing but twigs, acorns, bark, pine cones, tree resin, etc. Only the glue is man made. Oh and it has whatever large scale trains going all through it. I was blown away.

^the original Penn Station, for those of you non-New Yorkers. The size of these things are deceiving in the pics, they're huge.

Hmm, well I've been going at a steady clip with 1 session a month since last May. Average session maybe about ~5ish hours. I'd guess I'm about 40 hours in. It's all that black! Really all that is left is 2 little strips on my hamstring of wind bar, then ALL color and touch ups. Dana says color sessions fly by, so even though it looks there is still a ton left, he doesn't think it will take long.

I got my first spur-of-the-moment tattoo last night, and it was really fun! I was biking through the neighborhood, and started thinking it would be cool to get a going-away present for myself in the form of a tattoo (I've been in DC for a decade but am moving next week).
Anyway, so I went into Tattoo Paradise, and Dave Cavalcante put a neat little black & gray compass on the top of my left thigh. I don't have a great photo of it yet, but I like it! I told him it was my first tattoo that I hadn't pondered over for months -- or even years, ha. Definitely a new experience for me, but it was fun!
Incidentally, I think I'm done getting tattoos anywhere close to my crotch. jesus it hurts.

Got my walk in at Frith Street yesterday. Happened to get Oliver, he was an absolute gentleman, was a really nice experience overall. If any of you guys know the shop, Dante, Jordan and everyone else were hanging out joking, was so chilled. And I came out with a perfect tat :)

I have to take 2 trains to get to Osaka (Umeda) station and start making my way through the masses

    The masses

    The Roof
I walking to the Hankyu line, I'm looking around and not paying to much attention to whats in front of me, I look up and just burst into laughter because of this

Sure it may not seem that funny, but it was the last thing I thought I'd see and with the angle it was on, i though it was gold.

    another shot of the station

    The train to Kyoto

    lots of bridges

The guy in the hat in the background was singing his ass off and it was dope. Sure, other people seemed to be a little put off by it but I thought it was fantastic! And he seemed happy which was the main thing.

I was trying to get photos of all the hillsides and the Autumn leaves on the train ride but it was hard to get decent pics from an express train ;)
I got to Kyoto and grabbed some quick lunch from Mos Burger (I love that place) and stumbled across these guys
