  1. Had a good session yesterday. Finished the outline and got some color in. Taking longer then expected. My artists hours do not work with my work hours. So I have to take vacation days to get work done. Oh well. Still loving it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Had my 3rd session a couple days ago. It was sooooo painful. Inner arm from wrist to pit. I took only one pic and it's not that great of a pic. Doesn't really show much. I could only sit for 1.5 hours before I tapped. One more session of only 45 minutes left on the outline, then off to color/shading. I tend to sit much better, and for much longer, when it comes to shading and color. This tattoo is coming along nicely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Didn't finish but just another 2 hours left on the outline. I'm loving it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Time for a bump to the thread. Heading back in for the forearm work Tuesday. As always, will post pics. Should have the whole sleeve outlined if I man up and get it all done Tuesday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Come to Portland. Need that traditional work. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  6. Here are pics of the first session. Only went about 3 hours. Got a late start because of icy road. One more session of outline and then on to color and sharing. I'm very happy. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  7. I had this happen with Jeff Gogue. I lived down the street from his shop for many years. He wants free range on his work. I'm cool with that, but some are not. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  8. I understand I love this forum. With that said, it is a bit slow. I have other hobbies and when I go to their respected forums, I need to read 4 pages to catch up on what was chatted about that day. Maybe tattoos just don't have that huge of a forum following. But this forum has been great. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  9. So just received my final touched up tattoo. This is happening on Friday. I will post when this happens. Here is my final pic before Friday. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  10. You don't need to stop. Post wherever you want. Good luck with that tattoo. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  11. What do you mean? Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  12. Just received this final draft with shading. Color throughout the rest. He said he might make the dragons head a tad larger. Feb 3rd cannot come fast enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have 4 sparrows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Non yet. I pushed my first session back from late October to feb 3rd. With the holidays here, I could not be selfish and drop a grand on a outline for myself. But when feb 3rd arrives, appointments will be mad ever 3 weeks until done. Already took every 3rd Friday off for 6 sessions. Will add more if needed. (Sure I will) What's funny is his shop is s cash only shop. I find this crazy in 2016. I have had maybe 8 tattoo artists work on me and they all have take. My debit card/ credit card. I would think on large pieces like 20 plus hours, not many people are sitting on that type of tattoo cash. I've been saving, so I'm cool. I would rather bump the price of my tattoos up 3% and there is the credit card charge. He is an amazing artist, so people will get the cash I guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I had a clipper done last week and it was only 3.5 hours. It boy, she was heavy handed. Out of the 16 tattoos I have, this one killed me. At one point I did a mini 2 minute tap. I told her to hold on. But then I was right back in the saddle. Have no idea why it hurt so bad other then here packing ink in my rose in the ditch. I was just getting annoyed. 16. And yes, I see those wonky red lines on the ship. She added that afterwards. Oh well. I still love it. And believe me, those 2 red lines are the least of my current tattoos I wish did not happen :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Portland tattoo expo was in town this week. As always, it's my favorite time of the year. I have always had work done there and this weekend was no different. I am working on a American traditional piece. Got to meet Corey Miller. He was not tattooing, but had a good conversation with him. Cool dude. Been a fan of his long before he was on LA Ink. Here's my piece. A clipper with a rose. Be good friends Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Same. Not looking forward to getting the line work. But can't wait either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks for pointing that out. Reposted the pic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Rough draft. Some More detail/scales, need to be added. But I'm so happy. Starts on oct 28 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. J_bradburry3 is his IG. Some of the things he does, I'm not a fan of. I Mean technical application is there, but the style as a whole I don't like. I am a solid American and Japanese traditional guy. He has some beautiful Hannya masks on there and other killer Japanese pieces. That was all I cared about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. So had my consult today. It is going to be awesome. Saw his other Japanese sleeves and was amazed. So we are going with the koi and dragon themed sleeve. He was Mentioning something about the koi collected a pearl and on his way up changed to a dragon or something like that. Anyways, his waves are some of the best I have seen. Seems like such a simply thing like water would be easy, but his just stands out. Also some windbars and cherry blossoms. He said in about 3 weeks he will have it drawn and ready for outlining. Put the deposit down and just waiting for the call. It's happening y'all. A bit nervous, but it's more excitement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks for your thoughts. You seem to have knowledge when it comes to this topic. I think the hannya will be taken out for sure. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
