  1. Most fun thread ever!!!
  2. Good call! @David Flores I turned 47 today, and I'm one beer away (eh maybe 2 or 3) from a lucrative modeling career! I quit giving a shit about what other people think of me quite some time ago. :)
  3. I a'int too proud to show my ugly mug. My girlfriend got me to wear this stupid hat on Christmas day. Some of you saw it on IG anyway.
  4. This is the best picture I could get of the Thom Devita backpiece when new. Snagged from my copy of Tattooing A to Z by Huck Spaulding
  5. Bwahahahaha :) - - - Updated - - - I could travel if I wanted to, but I prefer to stick with this one shop I really like. I'm a regular at one little street shop in Tennessee. They tattoo whatever walks in the door (within limits, naturally), but they love doing traditional tattoos. The part of middle Tennessee I live in has a stretch of road with more tattoo shops than you'd usually find auto parts stores and pharmacy's in most towns. 99.9% of the tattoo shops here suck donkey balls or just scratch. I do have my small bucket-list of tattoo artists i want to get work from outside of my favorite shop though.
  6. @Gregor Just saw this. That post was fuckin' funny as shit. Needed more commas! Everywhere.
  7. @else Way to go. That is one cool tiger! - - - Updated - - - Poorly lit, poorly shot selfie... Filler traditional roses back of the arm, armpit area done in between doctor appointments today, because I don't think you can have too many roses.
  8. Opposite side of the coin... I'm skinny, too skinny according to some. Fuck those people that think you're too fat, too skinny, etc. Nice Tattoos can do a lot for your own self image. When you really feel good about yourself it can change the way the rest of the world sees you.
  9. Sad...But, R.I.P. Say what you will about Huck selling to everyone with a money order and a postage stamp, then later a credit card and internet, but there's some pretty awesome tattoers out there today that got started with that A to Z book and a starter set. Come to think of it, someone gave me that damned A to Z book in 1988 when it first came out. I never even thought about learning to tattoo, never did, and never would, but I still have that little book. Still have my first tattoo, done in 1985 from Spaulding flash too.
  10. Exactly. I have a lightning bolt on the back of my arm and I'm as far from white supremacist as you can get. I got it just because I like AC/DC. I have a spiderweb on my elbow and I've never been in jail, haven't even had a speeding ticket in the last 25 years. If you like it, get it.
  11. In the last 24 hours I've ordered the TattooTimes hardcover reprints from Hardy Marks, the Women of Subversion 3rd edition book from Amazon, and an LST T-shirt from here. I got cool stuff on the way, but I also got some tattoos to get... Ain't the internet great!!!!
  12. Guess I'll start looking under the couch cushions for quarters on a daily basis then...
  13. @Duffa What??? Already.... Please point me to where the cherry was busted.
  14. Just ordered the Hardy TattooTimes hardcover reprints. Then this book shows up in the N&S's blog... PFFFT. Next paycheck then. :) @Dan S Never mind I bought it anyway... Damn you Amazon!!!
  15. Oh, forgot, getting the traditional roses from the Social D Skellie Car Backdrop as filler in a good empty spot on Tuesday.
  16. Follow you on IG. The art is Badass! The "Hi Everyone" intro reminds me of the Tombstone movie... "Well...Bye"
  17. Dunno, maybe it's just because I'm a skinny little dude, or whatever. I really didn't think it was that bad. Or, maybe, back was way worse than inside biceps...
  18. I have stuff on both my upper arms from the 85 to 89 period that's pretty shitty, and had faded on its own to the point it could have easily been covered, but it was so sentimental I just ended up getting all of em touched up to look like new shitty. I'm really glad I did now. Losing that would have been like cutting my finger off to get rid of a wart.
  19. I have to go with Kari Barba. She tattooed a friend of mine back in the late eighties and besides being amazed by her work at how good tattoos could be, I was equally amazed that I'd actually seen a tattoo in real life by someone who's work I'd seen in magazines. It was like finding out Santa Claus is real for me.
  20. @hogg That's the exactly the same way I felt... There were just so many things wrong with this on so many levels. It's hard to be judgmental of others when your heavily tattooed yourself, but then experience tells me this probably ain't gonna work out really well for her in the end.
  21. Way to go dude! May your Banhammer always swing true!
