  1. I have done a couple of them, usually small names or phrases, and healed they end up looking kind of like a scar. That said you should keep the design really really simple. Pro's i would say that it is a subtle kind of tattoo if it holds well. Cons would be that it could almost be considered a temporary tattoo, sun damage will eventually fade it to the point that it is hard to see. Oh and it would be kind of hard to talk most tattoo artists into doing it.
  2. I believe this is a Soto piece, it was brought by my customer.
  3. I have used Dr. Numb on my wife a couple of times at tattoo conventions. Usually I try to keep from using it, but I was starting a new tattoo that i estimated to take me around 5 hours, after having already tattooed her for 8 hours the day before. Anyways point being that those types of products help out for a couple of hours if used correctly. But once you start feeling the tattoo again it seems almost worse, but it does help for a little while. It is also expensive.
  4. That kid got lit up on multiple websites, all today from what I have seen. I checked it out this morning, and anyone who has ever seen a tattoo should have been able to tell that he was full of crap.
  5. I sat for about 8 1/2 hours one day then another hour or so the next day. To me tattoos start to even out on the whole elevation of pain thing at around the 5 hour mark. Just the act of sitting for that long sucks though.

    Cover up on hand.

    Thank you very much
  7. I was Hellboy last Halloween. I didn't buy a costume though, I carved the big hand out of foam and did lots of make up. I haven't figured out exactly what I wanna do this year, but I think me and my wife are gonna do some Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas action, we shall see.
  8. I shall have to try that the next time I run into one.
  9. PBR doesn't suck that bad, lol, it doesn't not suck enough to get a tattoo of it, but it is drinkable lol.
  10. The actual sun exposure should be what ages the tattoos, not how your skin reacts to the sunlight. It seems like you would have "hyperactive" melanin, but as long as you are keeping the lotion on, your tattoos should age well.

  12. well hi loser. good to see another face.
  13. Pretty fun stuff on one of my regulars.
  14. lol I hear that, I broke my pelvis in 2 places when I was 16 in a wreck. I am totally down to build a metric bobber, but I want to have one build under my belt before attempting it. I was actually looking at an old kz650 basket case that I could pick up for peanuts, but the guy sold it before I could even have a day off to check it out. Oh well, it will happen eventually.
  15. Yeah I gotcha, if I were going the bar hopper route, I can pick up an older sportster in good running condition for around 2 grand at auction, and I know how to work on Harleys. I really dig on older Triumphs too, but I have never worked on em.
  16. I have owned a couple of different Harley Sportsters. Had to sell them because of some money troubles, but I will be getting another bike in the near future. I'm thinking either a really cool bar hopper, hard tail sportster esque, or a sport touring bike, ala BMW K1200GT.
  17. The first tattoo I did for money was actually the second tattoo that I ever did. It was a blue tribal hammer head shark on a friends ankle. No pics though, that was before I owned a digital camera. The lady I did it on actually bought me an autoclave and I promised to tattoo her for free for life. I still have only done 2 tattoos on her. lol Good Times
  18. Hand piece was a coverup, did a little touch up on it and added the finger portion of the tattoo
  19. Done on my buddy Gabe. He was in a motorcycle accident, and is made of quite a bit of steel, well technically titanium but anyways his friends are calling him the man of steel.
  20. Okay so here is my idea, think of M C Escher's Drawing hands, but instead of pencils, you could have them each taking a dagger to the other, maybe good-evil on the knuckles or something. Hows that for inner struggle? lol
