day after i turned 18..1995..parents were outta town for a few days..i went to the only shop i new of in my area...i want to say it was called artistic impressions, dude named paul hayden.puled up there was a badass nova parked out front..walked into the "waiting room" which had a pool table, a couple of couches, a bunch of ashtrays, and hardly any lights on...all i heard from the other room was.."what the fuck you want!" i was a young, naive, good little church boy at the time(kinda..haha)..man i was scared shitless..ended up getting "forgiven" on my backl in old english..thought it was sooo big and badass..hahaha..it was like 1 1/2 inches tall by maybe 6 long...sinc has been covered up by my backpiece of a huge severed samurai head...

man i hate the tiny ass upside down lettering!!or lettering in white...used to not do it, but oh well if i dont then someone else will..i got a family to feed...best on so far was when a young lady came in for her first one.."faith" upside down in white...told her it wont look good down the road and she probably wouldn't see it since she fake baked...got done with it..she looked at it and said.." ummmm i cant see it"...well girl thats what i told ya..$50 please...thank you ..and good bye...hahaha...

within a 30 minute radius..spokane and the little surrounding cities..about 650,000 people..we have over 40 shops listed in the phonebook..thats not including the ones not listed...i can thik of 10 more off the top of my head..ridiculous..and here i go opening my own shop..hahaha

the original singer of the dead milkmen lives up here in spokane..moved up here a long time ago, sadly he has parkinsons disease really bad..he used to come into the shop i worked at and get tattooed with important memories of his life...cbgb...dm...cool jew..stuff like that...well we were grabbing drinks one day after he got tattooed and asked if he would tattoo the dm logo on us...well after a few more drinks he was in....said it was the coolest thing that has happened to him in a long ass time...haven't seen him in awhile so hopefully he is still around and kickin...great guy with cool ass stories..here's a pic of his first tattoo ever...

got an appointment with brian bruno on friday...pretty stoked...horitomo seminar on saturday...as well as a few appointments...hopefully get a few more tattoos while im there....this is going to be a loooong week till the 20th!!! needs to hurry up and get here

Also, this isn't a theoretical argument, where logic wins. "If this is true, then this must equal false" It's a real-life discussion about real things and when it comes to tattoos and tattooing:
The tattooer is ALWAYS right.
AND STEWART COMES OUT WITH THE WIN!!!!!!!! well put sir..hahaha
i used to work for a guy who only had 6 tattoos...none bigger than a softball...he was too picky or they hurt to bad...fuck that shit...i busted his balls every chance i got, especially in front of his customers...how can you tell someone how its going to feel or how to relax and breathe thru it if you have hardly done it yourself...he is a fucking parasite to my craft that i've struggled for and dedicated my life to, even before i was tattooing i was pretty heavily covered...it's a lifelong commitment.

no tattoos.....no love.......fuck you in the face for thinking you can tattoo and not be tattooed, the trade involves a commitment a dedication to the craft. if you dont respect it or like it enough to get the product you produce on you then you are a parasite.....''robbing from the host." i think that would be the definition. as for boris i have no interest in what he has to offer. has anyone seen how many ink caps that guy uses. how many fucking shades of skin tone can you need? or does that weird rotary you take the tips of not blend a color. christ!!!!!!!

I personally do not respect tattooers as much that have no tattoos either. Now maybe I'm being closeminded but fuck it. I wanna know that a tattooer is devoted to his trade; mentally, emotionally, financially and most of all physically. I'm not talking about being heavily tattooed but at least a forearm shot or two. If you're a tattooer and have not one single tattoo or maybe just one... You're just a tourist in our business, go back to selling real estate, there's more of that 'glory' stuff you're lookin' for.

that chick linda tattoos for oliver in Dallas, i was totally fucking with her while she was tattooing because i thought she was doing her first tattoo on her boy friend and it was facing the wrong way. an hour later when she was shading it i was like"whatever it's the first one it's not like you do this for a living" which i found out ten minutes later she did...totally bummed her out. she has the craziest cover ups al over the place..
