I really prefer the tattoo style portraits and i think there is some really clever artists doing them at the moment, here is a couple I've come across that I'm particualalry fond of.

The first is straight up traditional by Mitch 13, the second is a really cool mix of of styles by Shaun Topper

Man there is some real nice work in this thread, my faves are, as have already been mentioned, Valerie Vargas and Sarah Schor and I'd also like to add Xam....

And I may be a little biased but Dennis Pase, this is my fantastic lady head by him...
