I'm just going to leave this here.
I both love and hate this at the same time.

Well I've done lots of reading on all the after care products but I've only ever used Bepanthen. I know it does contain a petroleum product but every one of my tattoos has healed brilliantly and only one had a very small scar (due to the artist going over a spot too many times).
I'd like to try Aquaphor but just don't want to risk it, if it ain't broke don't fix it, I guess.

I think you should leave it, it looks good as is. :)
Agree with this.

Best post timing ever.
A guy I work with is getting his chest done by Norbert in 1 weeks time, he is shitting himself ha ha.
I would be too! Chest isn't fun
It was a good day, he's a nice guy and I'm happy with the outcome. I posted a few pics the latest tattoo lowdown thread but here's one. There's a few blood spots there that have gone now.

@InkedMumma glad to hear it! There's plenty of fine artists to choose from here and you're on the right track.
Slightly off topic but I'm getting tattooed by Norbert right now! Foruming distracts from the pain a bit.

I was wondering if this is just trolling or stupidity. But I guess they're one and the same really.

2 pieces per year for me, I'm in no hurry.

Thanks for the links guys... Keep them coming.
I actually happened to check out light house tattoo in September... Talked to Brett. Thats where Rusty operates too when i looked it up.All top artists there judging from the work.
Also Evan Griffith from Melbourne...loved the work (attached)
Committing to 8-9k for a back piece is something I need to come to terms with. Doesn't mean I expect to pay 2k and get a top job.. But there's a difference between 5k and 9k.
Apologies if this isn't the sort of talk expected here or offensive to artists, I definitely see why good work is costly due to the years in training, tools, materials and expertise / availability.
If theres anything I've learned, as I'm sure have many others on this forum, is that skimping on the price of a tattoo will ultimately get you something you regret. I know I'm telling you to suck eggs, but I just can't emphasise it enough. Save for another year if you need to, heck you might be on a waiting list for that long anyway.

Today at a family get together my dad saw one of my chest tattoos, all he basically said was "I knew you'd get one" and "I suppose your arms will be next" and that was about it. I thought he'd freak out but it wasn't a big deal at all. My parents are old and pretty traditional so this was a shock to me. I didn't tell him I have 5 others though, and he saw the smallest one hehe.
I'm happy cos now I can start getting more visible tattoos. Then again I'm 33 with my own family, maybe I should grow a pair and just do whatever the hell I want, but I am trying to be conservative for my family and in-laws sake.

Yep or alex rusty cairns
There are so many great tattooers in Sydney just got to want to find them.
Yep Alex is great as well. I also really like Adam Kitamoto in Melbourne.
And yes you really do have to look hard to find some of the top artists.
Edit: almost forgot Rhys Gordon

WT Norbert. Real solid work. I'll be getting a piece from him in a few weeks.

.@emily_rose_murray | Really hard to photo nicely. These tattoos are huge and wrapping a lot. Done ... | Webstagram
Emily Rose Murray just posted these. Amazing!
She is amazing, and her partner Chris is a crazy good artist too. I'd like to get a piece by either of them one day.

I had a few in mind but it turns out they were released before 2013, guess I'm behind the times.
