@Lochlan: no, that was my arm (by Horitomo). My back was done entirely by machine.
@Kyle: I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that she did not grind the black herself for this piece. Of course, I'm not a tattooer, so I can't expect her to discuss the finer professional points with me. :)

Daniel Johnston!

You're welcome! I figured I'd spare you the ass shot. :)
-
Unbelievable. And this pic looks much better than the iPhone shots you posted--you can really see the black and the subtle shading in the snake.
-
You really, really do.
-
Fantastic. There's a lot to love here, but I find myself especially drawn to the flames.
-
I love this.
-
GodDAMN, that snake is tough!
-
Perfect. Thanks for posting!

There's nothing quite like a super-detailed oni.

Rassier's work is always super recognizable, and this one is super Rassier even for Rassier. Love it.

Thanks, Andy! It's on my inside right ankle, so that little guy smiles up at me every day when I cross my legs.

Very cool take on a hyottoko!

Holy shit...is this what did the first night of the SFO convention? So badass.
-
Whoa! Not the usual Sylvia stuff, but this is great. I love the look of solid Polynesian work.
-
Tim Hendricks has arrived, ladies and germs. Game over! Always loved this piece.
-
You really did it? Hmm...I guess you just look different as a blonde. ;) (I know you meant to type "dig"--thanks for the compliment!) And yes, Heath is a very cool cat. When I told him my idea, he just grinned.
-
So cool, Nico!

This whole thing is great, from the rose to the hit of red behind the skull to the cigarette holder--but the snakeskin hatband totally makes it.
-
Very nice!

Unbelievable. Such a beautiful take on an absolutely classic design.

Thanks! I think Tim did the whole shebang in about 7.5 hours. Insane, man. I'll post a better pic once it's all healed.
