Ive thought about what I will get for butt tattoos as my back piece stops at waistline. So far animal head on each seems to be the way I am leaning.

well good luck ! I think you're on the right track with the tattooers you've listed - my vote (which doesn't count!) is for Gerhard or Iain. You will never look at your butt the same way after it's tattooed !
...i think i posted this somewhere else...about when I was healing my backside and my wife walked in on me cannonballin', spreading ointment on my bare ass. Like WTF, right? She could not unsee that, it was weird for her, and I'm all like 'what? we're married!" Once you black the crack, you cannot go back !

I met this dude (I bet someone here will know T-Po) in Toronto, 2007...he had this AMAZING portrait of BILL COSBY on his ass cheek. Like an incredible tattoo. He also had this super-shitty Edmonton Oilers tattoo, which was also amazing because he was from Ontario. Really good dude, friend of friends, helped out a lot of bands.

Waves and rocks, my backpiece extends all the way down.
Black in the crack, it creates a shadow effect, to make the tattoo fit naturally on the buttocks.
Go as deep as you and the tattooer feel comfortable with. If you don't, you'll be wishing you did and you will hesitate returning to the painful memories.
My ass tattooing session was a very valuable lesson in humility and vulnerability.
Plus my black ass looks fantastic now.
You should definately bring a wooden spoon or ask your tattooer for a piece of old leather to bite down on. Seriously.

I actually have something of a meaning for the tattoos on my arms, though for some I assigned that meaning later to a tattoo I got because I thought it would be cool.
I don't find questions annoying, I like seeing what people will say back. For tattoos that have actual meaning, my favorite is "It's a funeral urn. It reminds me I'm going to die."
And there's always, "It's a panther and a giant sword. I got it because it's awesome."

I don't get asked these questions. I recommend you start giving off unfriendlier vibes.

Most of my tattoos are birds, Japanese theme (I am part Japanese), and jewelry work (pearls, chains, and pendants).
Strangers always notice the birds. I tell them I like birds. Lol. Most of the tattoos I am planning for are animal designs. I am an animal lover! It is true...I love my dog and my 4 birds.

I posted photos of my feet one time and got all kinds of interesting comments......i should have left them up to be honest because some of them were straight up funny as shit! :)

I see so many posts here about religious parents.Dont assume they all hate tattoos.I am a religious parent.I have three kids,I teach an adult Bible study class,and I have many tattoos.There are worse things than being tattooed.Jesus still loves us all.

Most of the top notch artists have long waits. 2-6 months isn't bad at all.

yeah Janie from Rabbits Den in Milltown is also someone to check out too - never got tattooed by her but got tattooed there several times by Matt Dunn (now @ Old Glory in Asbury) - cool shop and Janie seemed pretty nice in my interactions with her
