  1. Jondix Mahashakti will be visiting in October and will be working at Temple, and no, people cannot call and get appointments as he's already over booked. People who work at Temple have even given up their appointments to get some other friends in, and he'll most likely end up tattooing until the wee hours every night. He will be at the upcoming convention put on by the San Jose shop State of Grace, however, maybe he'll have some openings then? Here's a link to this awesome Bay Area Tattoo Convention
  2. But what if it was her one stipulation? I told Scott that he could do whatever he wanted, except braid his beard and add decorations to it. One woman's tattoo is another woman's beaded beard.
  3. Is that a cover-up or did someone's hand twitch?
  4. I don't have an opinion on this, but I'd like to share a lingering resentment. I was at the Salt Lake City convention a few years ago, and had just gotten a tattoo by the fabulous Mike Wilson. I was trying to read the ingredients on this alledged aftercare product when this shmoozy sales guy proceeded to ask me who did the tattoo, pretend to know who Mike was, and in a very condescending fashion tried to edjumacate on how to heal a tattoo. As far as I could see, this asshole didn't have a single tattoo anywhere on his body. For the rest of the day, I could hear Brad Pitt muttering "Don't condescend to me motherfucker" in my head. Actually, I can still hear it now.
  5. I'm not a fan of face tats, either, and sometimes front and center on the neck is extremely distracting, hard to concentrate on the person's face. But Freddy Corbin rocks his face tattoos well, they just seem like a natural part of him, he pulls it off in a way no one else can.
  6. Jondix and Thomas Hooper are best friends, I have a painting done by the two of them together. And my (first?) tattoo by him will be Ganesh, we're starting it in October when he'll be here for a visit.
  7. I knew a guy who claimed to have "If you can read this, you must be working" tattooed there, but I never had the good fortune of seeing it myself.
  8. Truthfully, what types of tattoos do you get asked to do the you dread doing? Do you do them, or do you just say "I don't do that?"
  9. So I've heard some tattoo artists say that they can't stand stinky feet or stinky breath, what bugs you the most?
  10. I'm willing to travel to Madrid, because that's where the amazing JonDix Mahashakti is! Check him out:
