  1. Very nice. Did you ask specifically for that design or just give him free rein?

Thanks, I said I wanted a dragon and skull and left the rest up to him, it came out basically how I pictured in my head, but a thousand times better, haha.

@Ben87 great progress! Love the rock & water flow in the calf area. When are you scheduled next with Filip?

    Mike

Thanks man, next session is middle of January, so not long now, will probably finish the dragon off then

flawless mate. All tattooers should pay attention because that is how a tattoo should look.

Thank you mate! Couldn't be happier!

  2. After having a big session on my back, legs, arse ect I can't even imagine not keeping it wrapped the first few days, just thinking of clothes rubbing against it makes my skin crawl. As long as you change the wrapping and wash it regularly you shouldn't have a problem. Ive never had a single bit of ink falling out doing it this way.

  3. FOURTH?! How long did you sit each time?

Also implied in that comment was "Looks fantastic, you lucky dog, you!"

Haha thank you. Sessions have been around the 5 hour mark total tattoo time, the last session was more like 7 hours, so just over 20 hours so far, can't really complain ;)

Super cool, @MGblues! I laughed at the woodchuck. Nice twist on the classic Jerry rattler.

Jesus fucking shitballs. That's amazing! What's left to do? Looks damn near complete. Actually, you could stop now and still be awesome.

Thank you mate, the next session will focus on the skull, haven't really touched it since the first session. Still deciding on colours and stuff then its just putting the colour in the dragon act, booked in for 3 more sessions but might only take 2

@Ben87 wins the game of life.

Hahaha thanks mate, I try :p

  4. Wow! What are you getting?

Second session on my backpiece, big skull and dragon. I posted this pic a while ago somewhere but can't be arsed to find it, also you can't see much of it as it goes down to my ankles, so not much help but its something to go on haha

Got most of the main outlines done in that session so I think he said on this next one he'll be doing most of the background. Gonna be a long day :p.

    I want your life.

Haha cheers mate, but its a life of squaller really, all because of my addiction to tattoos

  5. I hate you... No really you got to give us a better shot of that, Filip Leu hell yeah!
Shige then Filip Leu... No one can fault your taste!
No apology needed! Thanks for sharing (and yes, please feel free to post better pics).
I know I'm a couple pages behind on the response, but I was stoked to log in and see the Carmichael and Leu tattoos on the same page. Can we get less scratcher bullshit/ego stroking/personal validation threads and more awesome tattoos like these instead? Please and thank you.

Thanks a lot for all the likes and compliments guys, I promise ill get a better picture soon but its at the horrible itchy / peeling stage at the moment so ill give it a few days. Thanks again.

  6. Ive had best results with, getting home (so usually an hour our so after the session), unwrapping, washing with water as hot as I can handle with an unscented soap or hand wash, then patting dry with a very clean towel or kitchen roll, applying chosen ointment (I use After Inked) then re-wrapping.

I repeat the cleaning, re-applying ointment and re-wrapping 3 times a day, once when I wake up then half way through the day and then again before I go to bed for the first 3 days, thats usually when I start to peel, after that I just wash it as often as possible (usually 3 times a day realistically) and re-apply the ointment without wrapping.

Ive done the same process but without the wrapping before and to be honest I've had similar results, I just feel when its wrapped its more protected from knocks and clothes rubbing against it ect, I think the re-wrapping technique is fine as long as you change it regularly and keep on top of it, which can be hard because of work and stuff.

  7. Actually I've been wandering for a while what all these no outline tattoos will look like years later, I'm not a tattoo artist (with no intention to be one, don't worry) so i don't really understand the reasons behind them ageing badly ect, does anyone have any pictures of some examples? They're not my thing and all my tattoos have good strong lines so I'm not worried personally, just interested.
