  1. Hmm, I have no idea. He only mentioned it at the end of my third sitting when everything was done except for the eyes.
  2. I want a discount tattoo as much as I want a discount parachute. That being said, I support the charity, Friday the 13th, and other fun special things that shops do.
  3. My artist finished the eyes of my dragon last. He said once the eyes where done the dragon is alive and to continue tattooing it would cause the dragon pain.
  4. I'm doing the panel to match the one he completed on my left side in February. It covers my chest my arm half way down my bicep and goes a little way on my back. The placement will be the same as the dragon in my gallery. This tattoo will be a tiger.
  5. Starting my other chest panel with Kore Flatmo on Friday.
  6. To be honest, it didnt worry me. So I didnt really pay much attention, but if I had to guess Id say three four days. Seriously, dont sweat it, it will be fine.
  7. @spyro it will be fine heres mine the day after the shading was done, vs now. vs healed
  8. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
  9. I suppose one thing to keep in mind is even though the amount of time they might need to actually tattoo you is short, they still have to setup/breakdown, clean and everything else that would be involved in the longer session. Just something to think about.
  10. I do the same except I apply a small amount of Aveeno once a day after the first day of healing. It's the only method Ive ever used, but it has work well so far.
  11. Well, I don't go around go around bashing peoples work. If someone asks me face to face and their tattoos are poor I just say "if you're happy with them that's all that matters." If someone asks the same question on the forum, I assume they want an honest opinion and they know they are stepping up to the big time here. Just look at the gallery. - - - Updated - - - Yeah, if I want to keep in touch with someone I will do so without being stalked by ex-girlfriends and the douchebags I hated in high school. It's amazing to me when I run into someone who treated me like dirt in high school and they all of the sudden want to be buddy buddy, when they want a job or a favor. I'm not a big fan of compiling huge amounts of personal info on the internet either.
  12. Yet another reason I'm glad to not have a Facebook account.
  13. Don't take it the wrong way. This site is about promoting great tattooing. So letting bad work slide because someone likes its it or it was cheap is not going to go over well. helping people find good tattooers, starts with helping them identify a good tattoo. It doesn't have to be super expensive, but it does have to be a clean, well executed tattoo.
  14. Lol, to me this sits squarely in the don't ask questions you don't want the answer to category.
  15. Im surrounded by bad tattoos. It seems to be the norm around here. The worse is when someone asks you for an opinion of their terrible tattoo. I never tell them its bad I smile and talk through my teeth. Oh yeah, that looks great, as I try to keep my eyes from rolling bad in my head. Ive been tempted to ask if they have been to the eye doctor lately, because I have no idea how they can be in love with some of the stuff I see. Just awful.
  16. You can bet this is less about education than it is about controlling your competition and keeping people out. There will always be sleazy people tattooing out of their apartment and they will always be able to get equipment wether it's regulated or not. There will also always be morons who go to "this dude my friend knows who does sweet sleeves for $200." Frankly I don't feel bad for them at all, they know they are not going about getting tattooed the right way and they will get what they pay for. Regulations won't change that, they will only create a bunch of flaming hoops for the people who are doing it the right way to jump through. I have a sign in my office that reads "Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten." I find that to be true in almost every aspect of life.
  17. No face, neck, or hands for me. I probably won't do my ribs either because I'm wimp.
  18. I'd like to comment on this, but I won't.
