  1. When will you ever stop getting tattooed, if ever? Is there a point you think you will stop? You have a bodysuit, but now think, is it time to do your hands, feet, palms, or head? You ran out of space so now what, coverups, laser, or touchup the older ones to look brighter or sharper?
  2. I can understand the emotions you go through. The before, during, and after of getting a tattoo is very different then anything i have experienced. I know i have stopped and looked at myself and thought "wow! when did i get so many tattoos!" and then think what can i get next!
  3. I'm in Austin and will be going to the convention and to San Angelo, also.
  4. I see a couple of people that I know by their names, Jack Rudy, Matthew Wojo, Brian Everett, and Hanky Panky (Henk s.)
  5. Stewart is amazing! He makes me think I will endure the pain to get a big torso tattoo!
  6. I agree with you david flores about Deno jr., Robert Ryan, and Regino. I am just amazed by their tattoos. I don't agree with you on Grime though! Grime does do tattoos that you know he did by only him but he can do almost everything and never fails to either amazes or makes you respect his tattoos. Others that made me anticipatory are Stell, Coleman, grant Cobb, Lehi, Rubendall, and hooper( moving to Austin). I don't love every tattoo they do but they do make me say wow or that is shit! Oh I also say for me, Jeff Cribb!
  7. Yeah it is the same tiger that horiyoshi 3, Tim Lehi , and many other, better artists, than this guy claims is his, just alittle variation of it.

  9. Hope ya'll like it! Chris Conn Askew Sekretcity Los Angeles
  10. Throwing in my tattoo in the hat. This was done by Eddy Deutsche a week and a half ago.
  11. In Houston, the place I know of is scorpion studios. @danmartin is the owner. In Austin, you will wait for Trevino but you would probably have time to laser your tattoo to lighten it up. Chris probably won't cover it up but suggest to you to get it lighten first. Jason brooks and Ben Siebert both are good. Tony Hundahl and Jay Chastain are both great. Jay is really nice and has a good grasp of traditional Japanese tattoos. IMO Chris is probably the best Japanese tattooer that is not Japanese in Texas. Rubendall, Hoyer, Lehi and some others can compete for best non Japanese tattooer that does great Japanese like, because it is with a machine, tattoos.

    Who are you?

My name is David. Born in a city just east of Houston, Texas. I will be 30 in 2 weeks. I moved up to Austin in '93 with my family. Got my first tattoo (two) the day after my 18th birthday at Diamond Glen's Rivercity Tattoo. Third tattoo the 3rd day after my 18th birthday and 5 tattoos by the time i graduted high school. I apprenticed at a tattoo shop that was a paid apprenticeship by Notorious Ed in 2002. I did not finish there but tattooing homeless people on Tuesday for free with very interesting. Worked as a body shop estimator for 7 years. Worked at Mom's Tattoos down the street from Rock of Ages. The owner (Deb) was teaching me and another guy to tattoo back in 2006-2007. Meet my wife. Married in 2010. Going to school now at University of Texas.
  14. Well, I called him like a week and a half ago and he said to just give him a call about two weeks before.
  15. What time is our appointment with Bryan? I will be in town then also!
  16. I have read all the pages. My point of posting is he doesn't charge $500 dollars an hour and no one has corrected that fact.
  17. I have to say something, i don't speak for Chris or anyone else on this forum, but why is no one speaking up for Chris? I mean there has been people that have been tattooed by Chris since he has came back tattooing and are not speaking up! If you respect Chris Conn or his influences he has made, speak up! Did he charge you 500 dollars an hour? No he did not. I respect every artist that Peter wrote above. Stell is awesome! I call out any tattoo artist that has to "cheapin" their tattoo prices. I don't live in a city that has a lack of talented tattoo artist. Maybe if I did I would not be typing this! Maybe I have been lucky by getting tattooed by Stell, Brooks, Grime, Trevino. But I promise if Scott Sylvia, Tim Lehi (again), Stell (also again),Coleman, Stewart Robson, or Bryan BURK said," well I charge 500 dollars an hour and two hour minimum", I suck it the fuck up and not cry about how much it cost me! Updated..... This is a forum to better the tattoo community not talk shit about tattooers.
