  1. I just healed my elbow with Desert Essence (mentioned in the article @Dan S linked to) and it worked a charm. It is available at most health stores out here on the west coast. It works extremely well for healing tattoos and also everyday moisturizing of faces and bodies. Good stuff.

Once I'm in the healing homestretch I've been using plain old jojoba oil to help itching.

@Mike Panic - tell your clients about Udo's 3-6-9 blend of essential acids. I'd recommend these to anyone, Vegan or not. The health of my skin, nails and hair has noticeably improved since I've started taking them. Well worth the $30. These should be available at Whole Foods and fine health stores.

  2. I'm in the process of moving currently. I flew out to SF to meet up with my girlfriend (got tattooed by Nick Rodin) and we rented a car and are spending two weeks driving up the coast on our way back to Vancouver. We drove by Scapegoat while in Portland so I stopped in to check it out and got tattooed the next day. It's been an amazing road trip so far and a great way to transition into life on the west coast.

    Who tattooed you at Scapegoat?

    -Just saw the answer. I'm a lame-o...

  3. I'm having a hard time figuring out what I want to do for the appointment with Aaron Coleman, I was thinking panther head with a dagger through it and a cobra.

Wherein @phickey has a quietly devastating idea for a tattoo...

All of those things are great on their own. Together--in any combination--they're super awesome. Go to him and see what he thinks. I'm sure you'll end up with something killer!

...the idea is affirmed by @hogg...

And subsequently blows up LST with the results.

  4. I've been working in commercial construction for the last ten years, mainly in project administration. For the last seven years I've been really busting my balls to become a Project Manager. Which, in this economy/job market, has been an uphill battle. Last week I was finally offered the title - and the huge nut that accompanies it - but turned it down. I can't take the industry any longer. My wife and I are moving to my home town of San Diego and I'm going to barber college. I'm excited to take up a new trade that offers a little room for creativity.

  5. Didn't know they did an unplugged for MTV..?

If my memory serves me correctly - it got shelved. There were rumors around Siamese and MCIS that there was going to be an Unplugged episode. I have a boot somewhere of acoustic performances in the Siamese era that were supposedly of them gearing up for it. It rules. That's where their cover of Thin Lizzy's "Dancing in the Moonlight" is from (which is a great cover).

  6. As a pretty crazy fan of 18+ years I can safely say that I did not expect Oceania to knock me on my ass like it has. I like most everything Corgan has put out...but found that I needed to increase the grains of salt that I take his stuff with over the years. But man, Oceania is a damn good, mature rock record. Just picked up the deluxe vinyl and it is a completely different listening experience.

Anytime people talk about him in a public forum they say "...whatever you may think about him..." or "...despite what you may think of the guy..." - but Corgan is a lifer. He doesn't compromise.
