It’s not even healed! If you trust your artist, then trust your artist. When I got my first sleeve I was worried about it peeking out of my shirt sleeve so I had my artist end it about an inch or two above the wrist bone. A few years later i was getting another sleeve so I decided to bring it down about three inches hand have both sleeves even with the wrist bone. It took a while but now you can’t tell where the old ink ends and the new ink begins. Relax, have an edible and watch your favorite movie.

    What he said.

I understand what this site is for. I like art and the differences and designs people come up with. I've seen plenty of good and bad. I'm just looking for some basic ideas on paper. Multiple ideas can have different things I wouldn't have thought of. Of course each tattooist will do their own art, but if I can get more sketches here, than driving around forever, why not

That is not a thing. Any decent tattoo artist isn't going to take some rando sketch and tattoo it on you. Talk to tattoo artists. Learn what makes a good tattoo. No one here is going to sketch for you because that is not how any of this works.

    Good luck.

My advice would be to think it through before the consultation. If you want changes, think them through and send a single email. A good tattoo artist is busy. What if all their clients sent multiple emails?

Yes, you should get the tattoo you want, but you also need to trust your artist. For my first sleeve I said, “Japanese, anything you want.” It turned out great. Same with my back. All my other work I threw out ideas, but what he came up with was way better than I imagined.

Same. If I trust the artist (and I do trust the guy who has done 99% of my tattoos), tell him roughly what you want and let them do their thing. Micromanaging a talented artist is gross, and you will end up annoying the artist like you did this person.

Hope you can find someone else to tattoo you. Good luck.

  4. You have to wait for it to heal. Just wait and find someone who won't f*ck it up more. You think you hate it now? Rush into "fixing it," and you will REALLY hate it.

P.S. It's not perfect, but it isn't THAT bad. We've seen so much worse—SO MUCH worse.
