I'd want to see some of their tattoos in person. Also, take a close look at anything with actual lines; to me, the lines look wobbly, especially in any of the circles and webs. Also, I think a lot of them look very dark and monochromatic; I'd be concerned with how they will hold up over time.

    Just one man's opinion.

What he said. Those photos look altered and very curated. They must not look so great if they have to edit them that much. Look somewhere else.

In general, you could even do a tattoo reduction if you are categorically not satisfied with the result of the work.

There is no such thing as a tattoo reduction. What are you even talking about? This appears to be pure spam. Go away.

I didn’t have any problems, but I don’t dry heal. I use A&D for a couple of days covered by Saran Wrap, then cocoa butter for a week or so. I’ve healed both knees and elbows that way.

I had a 2 1/2 hour rib session last Friday. That’s healing really nicely too. I put cocoa butter on the ribs every day for about 6 weeks prior to the session. Seems to have really helped with the healing.

My elbows healed fine. The knee is a different matter. It's better today.

Sorry, but nothing like that. Minor swelling for maybe a couple of days. Drove a few hours to get home after the appointment. Walked on it from the get-go. All dry-healed.

    Guess I was lucky . . .

Yeah, I drove three hours each way. I've been walking on it, too.

It’s not bruising tho it’s been 2 1/2. Months and the spots haven’t changed in color or size and don’t hurt and for the brown spots like I said in my post they aren’t photographing well but I showed my artist in person and he said he saw it too and was confused cause he had never seen that happen before. This is no ill will on my artist I love him he is amazing and I don’t think any of this is his fault I think it’s my body just wanted to know if anyone else had similar experiences

Could be a blowout. Either way, not a thing you can do about it.

Sorry you're hurting - BUT SOMEONE ACTUALLY POSTED A HAPPY PICTURE OF A NEW TATTOO!!!

    HURRAY! I DID IT! Hahaha.

It's feeling a little better today, but it is still oozing plasma. ICKY. Still love it!

I also got a caricature of one of my favorite musicians on the back of my right thigh, but it is black and grey, which always heal super easily on me. I keep forgetting it's there. Haha. I'll have to post a photo of it soon.

Wasn't looking for advice.  Read it again. Slowly i hope. With a dictionary.  Just wanted to start a discussion. So many rules...i'm out. There are topics about tattoo removals but not machines? Haha man this sucks bt

Bless your simple heart. Bye now. 🤣

I have a a red swelling spot near my tattoo where the tape was,  that is not itchy and it doesn't hurt. It feels like i made a little reaction to the tape. Is anyone knows what's up?

It's just a reaction to the adhesive. It'll go away.

I appreciate everyone in this thread who is trying to help. I'm starting to be convinced by you that it's indeed not possible for full removal, but I'm mostly interested in fading for coverup at the moment. I'm sure there are some cases where people get close to full removal - my father actually did that (not 100%, more like 95%). And yes there is absolutely nothing wrong with this tattoo. Its beautiful and the artist did an incredible job. I just didn't check stencil well enough and it ended up being a raven head on mourning dove body, and I happen to have negative association with doves, so that's a big part of my feeling bad about it. Not going to go into details there, it's just not "me" and it reminds me of someone I don't want to think about. I'm sure some understand where I'm coming from. At the end of the day it's not a big deal, it's just body art and it's objectively pretty and well executed. Of course I would love to do something so that I love it and it feels like "me".

I hope I didn't make anyone here think I was ignoring your comments - I am reading everything and taking it all in and trying to make an informed decision, and ultimately I do more heavily lean on the opinions of good samaritans than a salesperson. Of course.

What is the concesus of all of you regarding a few sessions to fade for cover ups?

That is doable. I don't know how many sessions it is going to take, but you can fade it enough to get it covered up. However, remember that a cover up will be larger than the original tattoo.

  9. Hi, Cindy. We aren't artists here. We are mostly collectors. We aren't really the right people to ask.

That aside, most of those tattoo schools are frowned upon because they are purely money spinners. If your daughter wants to be a tattoo artist, she needs to talk to other artists and investigate an apprenticeship in a shop.

For the record, I wouldn't let anyone who comes out of one of those "schools" near me with a tattoo machine.

Yes I'm considering a cover-up. I'm not sure if I'm convinced one way or the other if full removal is possible, but I'm not counting on it. Currently this is what it looks like under normal clothing: https://imgur.com/a/ano00yi so you can probably understand why I'm feeling underwhelmed. It's not the tattoo artists fault, I should have considered how weird it would look under a shirt. I have a chest wall deformity so I'm not 100% sure if a full chest piece will work for me currently, but I am potentially getting chest wall surgery if I qualify (waiting for testing currently). 95% sure I'll qualify and 25% sure I'll have the balls to go through with it. Really that's only relevant to my decision to purchase a package deal or not. Essentially would be 200 bucks a month for a year for unlimited PicoWay. Trying my best to make the right choice, but world is full of salesmen and naysayers so it's always a challenge with this kind of thing.

Edit: I mean I'd pay 200 bucks a month for a year, the unlimited PicoWay would continue as long as needed. Wording came out weird.

IT IS NOT GOING TO ERASE YOUR TATTOO. Can you confirm that you understand that? I've pointed it out to you twice, and you appear to be ignoring it. IT IS NOT AN ERASER ON TOP OF A PENCIL.

I've done a lot more research and consideration since I posted this yesterday and I'm feeling much much better about going through the removal process. I'm going to wait two months for healing and see how I feel when the time comes, and if I still don't like it I'm going to start the removal process. I'm not normally as on edge and skeptical as I was yesterday, but anxiety and paranoia come in waves, some waves are bigger than others.

You do understand it isn't going to remove it completely, right? It isn't an eraser, and it will take multiple sessions.
