irtattoos reacted to HettyKet in Looking to use instagram more, Can anyone suggest some American traditional and black work artists to follow?
Yes, there is worse about. Still.
As well as LivedInTattoos I'd recommend vintage_tattoos and classics_done_twice both jammed with healed, lived in work.

I've seen waaay worse
check out LivedInTattoos on the 'gram - I think that is one of the best, most honest tattoo feeds because it's straight up healed tattoos. The internet is severely lacking in the healed tattoo department.

Your absolutely right I didn't mean it to sound defensive. -

Most of us aren't tattoo artists. If we have a bad day at work, we get a scolding from the boss and go home without any lasting repercussions. When you mess up at work, it's on someone forever. Instead of getting defensive, you need a serious attitude change and to take your craft more seriously. You can't go through your career saying "Boy I really fucked up that guy, oh well, I had a bad day. Next!"
Whats your excuse for nearly every other pic in your profile? Because most of them are jacked up.

I mean to come across as a jerk here, but looking at your Instagram, I'd suggest getting the fuck off the Internet and learning to draw and tattoo properly because your shit is fucking horrendous. You should be ashamed of what you're doing to people.

His lines are clean & his colour is decently saturated.. Obviously the people he's tattooing like his work / style,. Youre bashing consistent properly executed work based on personal preference, so lets see some stuff youve done... :)

Nope.

I bring a wad of cash. Give me art. Take my money. Make another appointment. Repeat cycle.

irtattoos reacted to marley mission in Overcharged for time - advice
there is nothing to do here
first - he probably charged you 'for the piece'
and - it is what it is right
moving forward
if you feel he is too pricey for you then move along
and collect from other artists
or make sure he knows your budget
I have had work done where the artist charges you first
for the piece
then they tattoo you - time is an irrelevant factor
so know and articulate your budget
and stop watching the clock
and enjoy getting tattooed

I agree they all hurt,I have tattoos all over my body, and my inner thigh tattoo has been the most painful for me.
and I agree with the pre-tattoo preperation, but I might add bring candy to keep electrolytes up,I bring skittles and M&M's mixed in a bag and a couple cold bottles of water,I even bring a small ice chest to keep the water cold.

Don't drink the night before, get a good night of sleep, eat a hearty meal before you head to the shop & bring a fully charged phone, headphones and a book. You'll be fine ;) but yeah all tattoos hurt. Just some more so then others.

Talking about how much tattoos hurt is about as interesting as talking about how much tattoos cost. It isn't.
I'm getting a thigh done this weekend. It's going to be fun. I'm excited.

irtattoos reacted to bongsau in Thigh tattoo questions
yeah good points @marley mission i've also have had rough heals on my thighs. i like your comment about front row action.
when I got my first couple of tattoos, I thought meh what's the big deal, it doesn't hurt! Then I got my ribs tattooed and I can still taste that salty single tear when he hit me with the shader (after lining). My tattooer's like c'mon buddy not even hitting ya that hard with the shader lol. Ah memories. I long for the younger glory days when tattoos "didn't hurt". I guess I got all the big stuff out of the way now. But I still have the tops of my feet and armpits, and damn I am terrified - especially of the feet.
We say that all people are born with X number of tattoo credits. The more you get tattooed, the more tattoo credits you spend...and the more that shit fucking hurts !!

I have half sleeves on both arms, and the bicep is excruciating. You don't know anything about pain if you haven't had large tattoos. Sorry. You just don't. @Synesthesia is 100% right.

They would be on two very different parts of your body so clashing isn't really an issue. When I see tattoos on real people I often see a lot of different styles of tattoo sitting together. I think it looks cool, personally.
I'd also suggest going bolder because I prefer bold tattoos and they are going to last a lot longer and age a lot better than delicate tattoos, but that has nothing to do with clashing styles.
Get the tattoos that make you excited about tattoos.

irtattoos reacted to El Dolmago in Lost our "thread only" Images
Hi all - it' seems in the move we've lost all the directly uploaded to the forum (ie not hotlinked from an image site or linked from gallery) images.
Also, I was wondering if we could bring that functionality back? There are images I don't really want in a gallery (unfinished tattoos or examples of a problem [blowout]) that I'd like to provide visual examples of without having to subscribe to photobucket etc. Thanks all!

Red beer is the way to go. Less carbonation, same drunk, one serving of fruit.
For your health!
