  1. I was hoping for bearded tattooed women when I saw this.
  2. here's stuff I did over the past week, the one flash sheet is all nkc stencil copies.
  3. Excellent username choice.
  4. Well I don't doubt that the show is lame and shouldn't be watched and that the terminology is a little broad but the image of ganesha shows up as Ganapati and Vinayaka tantric buddhism. Or somethin like that, haha.
  5. I think he's a poser. Haha, but I don't like any of the other pop mainstream stuff either so it doesn't sound ground breaking to me.
  6. If you do, I doubt you'll be able to listen to kanye stuff anymore. El-p has been relentlessly producing some of the best music for the last decade. Check out cannibal ox and some of vast aire's solo stuff too. He's an innovative lyricist.
  7. Forgot to mention Hour of 13 in earlier posts. Played them a bunch too.
  8. I want that sabbath assembly stuff, I've only gotten to hear it via youtube. Same goes for the totem stuff she did. I've listened to the devils blood a few times, sometimes I find that I like it and other times I can't seem to get into it. I think its mainly the gal's vocals that put me off a first. I'm sure if I get to give it a proper listen of a whole album that won't be an issue. Edit- ok just played a couple tracks and I don't know why I ever didn't like them. Haha
  9. Well here's what I'll say about blood ceremony, the flute can be off-putting to lots of folks. The second album I like even a bit more than the first one. I was listening to a lot of real retro sounding stuff like orchid, witchcraft and the early pentagram stuff so it fit real nice into a set with those. I'd say yo check out jex thoth also.
  10. I played them first 2 blood ceremony albums a bunch this year as well. Haven't gotten the new one yet. Also nice to know someone else has heard of amorphous androgynous. Haha
  11. I can understand how he feels. He can play whatever he wants live, but he can't stop me from playing 20 year old records.
  12. What, nobody's brining any red house painters to the party?
  13. @CultExciter, that el-p/killer mike might be the heaviest thing on your list! Heard a couple tracks on it. That last killer mike that el-p produced sounded real good too. Here's stuff that got played this year: Uncle acid and the deadbeats-bloodlust Lycia-cold The smiths-singles collection Diiv-Oshin (shoegazing type stuff) Esoteric-Paragon of dissonance Immortal-Sons of northern darkness Magnetic fields-The charm of the highway strip Hot Water Music-entire catalog of releases M83-Hurry up, we're dreaming Darkthrone-Black flags and dark thrones Mark Lanegan-first 5 albums Dark Sanctuary-L'être las - L'envers du miroir (neo-classical) Also, I've been watching lots of leroy troy playing old timey banjo tunes on youtube.
  14. @Graeme, same here. Tried to come up with moving money all year so if I did buy anything it was used and super cheap. I was going to do a list of what I played as well.
  15. Man, be careful what ya ask for!! Even in sarcasm..hahaha!
  16. and ever since the snow began...theres been a lot of this happening http://youtu.be/qJ5SWcMwvvU
  17. Yes, that's what I'm saying. I know it might sound crazy, but not everyone has a website/instagram/facebook, etc. Go out, stop in a shop, talk to people. Maybe you see them doing a tattoo, maybe you talk and interact with people. Who knows what you might find out there...maybe you won't find what you're looking for but you also might find something you didn't know you wanted. You don't have to take reference or make any commitments, I'm just saying don't be afraid to explore what's around you.
  18. How many local shops have you actually gone into, to check them out? If you are only looking online, yes you would be going about it the wrong way. There's more to things than this 2 dimensional world. Maybe you have been going out and surveying the local territory, but I sometimes feel like this virtual reality is trying to remove the adventure of getting tattooed and turning it into just acquiring a "thing". The limitations are obscured by the vastness of information.
  19. The only real difference is that you know that there's no return trip. Nothing in life is a given, its something that most folks take for granted. Our daily routine and ritual becomes a comfort that obscures our ability to see it sometimes. I don't know that I'd want to do it based on just reading an article. But also, I wouldn't make my decision based on fear or concern of dying. Fear frequently needs to be confronted and death is a fact that each of us is all racing towards everyday.
  20. He should do his day job for free.
