Got this rad biker skull guy from @sour_jon Jon Gray at the Moncton Convention yesterday. Turns out its not a german SS skull with a stick grenade through the head, but a biker guy with a piston through the head. Shows what I know about bikes/cars!
Still love it. Going back today to knock out a few more.

Hi Charles, hope you're doing well. I notice that you are new to this forum and are quite keen in posting. I'm not too sure what you're working towards though. Several of your new threads seem to have a commercial vibe to them, are you hoping to sell us something? If so we have a forum group for that, but I believe you are supposed to try to keep those posts to a minimum.
You seem to be really into tattoos, so perhaps you should look around and contribute to some of the ongoing or older discussions, enlighten us with some opinions and knowledge. Maybe cool it off on these drawing books and colouring books by tattooers for tattooers messages, we get it.
    cheers,
    Sam

i never understood why somene would get bummed out if someone else had the same tattoo - i have a sailor jerry octopus and a basic pharoahs horses tattoo that you can find in any shop and probably tattooed on many many folks - but...who cares

I would definitely agree that you should wait. First, let the 5 tattoos that you've gotten in the last 3 or 4 weeks heal. Second, take the time now to think about your long-term concept of what you want it all to look like when you're done. Do you have an idea for a unifying concept (as you did for the last 4)? Are you looking to stick with American Traditional? Are you, perhaps, interested in creating a unified look that might ultimately include sleeves or a back or chest piece? Just placing a random filler tattoo now might ultimately prevent you from a more completed look later and seems rash to me at this point.
Given your reactions to the first 5, wait! Plan. Research. Discuss. IMHO, you are just leading yourself down the path of ultimate disappointment.

Im not sure what sort of tree you should get. Its really up to you, as it seems like this is a pretty personal thing for you.
As far as your experience goes, Im aware of a traditional symbol that might reflect what has happened to you. In Japanese iconography, the cherry blossom (sakura) is an image used to symbolize a life lost too early. Cherry blossoms are very beautiful, but also fragile. They only bloom for a few weeks before they are gone. They symbolize somethong that is very beautiful, but that only lasts so long; Life. They are often paired with images of samurai who give their life in battle and have their life snatched away from them too early. Cherry blossoms have been tattoo motifs for hundreds of years, and make beautiful tattoos.

Something to consider. Do some research, tho, as this is only my interpretation of Japanese motif.

Theyre fine. Youre over thinking it because they're some of your first tattoos. Plus theyre not even healed yet.
You might have had a friend (or mom, in this case) or something say they look bad, or read some stuff online that made you worry. Hell, I remember crying over my first tattoos, and they were on my f*cking hands! Tattoos arent perfect. They're hand made. Dont expect them to be 100% perfect because you will never get that.
Trust me, you're over thinking it. Go get some other tattoos. It works.
Live with it, and learn from them.

I think your tattoos are really cool.
One thing about tattoo shading I've found -- it always looks better on someone else. When you are looking at your own shading, you are up close and you see how inexact it looks, you see the needle lines, and sometimes it even looks sloppy. That's because it is designed to read from a distance -- which is why it looks fine in your pictures and to others.
Your line work may leave a little to be desired, but while maybe not excellent, I don't think it's bad enough to actually call bad. And you kinda want those traditional old-school flash-y looking tattoos to have hand-drawn look. I really think they would look worse if they were super precise. It's a style.
This forum isn't reddit, so if people here are saying they like the tattoos, you can bank on the fact the fact that they're pretty good.

yup, just read your latest lowdown post ... 4 at a time! gear down ther big rig and enjoy the scenery!
also ... look into the classic Pharoahs Horses design. Could be an excellent idea across the chest to compliment the biblical look/theme you're going for. But once you got the idea, SIT ON IT for a while before you take the plunge. The wait the anticipation the tattoo-foreplay is part of the excitement! You just got your feet wet, doesn't mean you need to jump off the high diving board quite yet!
