Excellent!  I love how the artist put such living expression in the eyes ... seems to be saying something like "I dare you dude ... go ahead ... make my day!" :)

I personally am finding the underbelly of the forearm more sensitive than the top of the forearm, but we are all different ... and some tattooists are more heavy handed than others ...

Maybe consider "fixing" the obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) instead of "fixing" the misplaced dot on the tattoo?

Just finished up my half sleeve last week. Took 3 sessions, about 12-15 hours total. What do you think? And yes, I chose black and gray for a specific reason, which is why there is no color. :)

    Handson makes a great point...

Impulsiveness has brought you to this crossroads.  The important thing now is to not allow it to decide which path you will take a second time.

I can feel your angst and I empathize ... everything in you is pushing to make it gone, now ... but for your own sake, please, take your time with deciding what you will do next.

At the ripe old age of 59, and I can hardly believe I'm that old, I can tell you that what people say about regretting the things you didn't do more than the things you did do is 100% true. I don't have many regrets as I try to find the good in all my experiences, but the few I do have are regrets about things I wished I'd done.
I was in a motorcycle accident 10 years ago, almost lost my leg, was inconstant pain for about 5 years and was in physical therapy trying to walk without a limp for 7 years on and off. I could cry about that, but my wife at the time asked me for a divorce the week I got home from the hospital and I wound up meeting the love of my life. In my book, even the accident worked out pretty good! Life is all about how you view it.

littlefox1970 reacted to Baboom in Tegaderm/Saniderm/Tatuderm healing process
I'm currently visiting SF and while here I got tattooed by Kahlil. Due to the placement (my thigh) we decided to put some saniderm on it so it wouldn't imped on my walking around the city. I had used tegaderm during test runs but never on a fresh tattoo.
After a day of walking the saniderm peeled on all corners pretty bad. The next day we continued walking around without an issue. That night I went to take a shower; I did my best not to get it wet but in the end the saniderm filled with water. I had no choice but to remove it.
once out of the shower I was faced with a choice to either leave it off and have my tattoo rub against my jeans for 6-8 miles a day for the next three days or apply the tegaderm I brought.
I opted to apply my tegaderm and boy am I happy I did. I had read mixed reviews on reapplying adhesive to your tattoo but I felt like I was left with little option. I'm on our final day here in SF and the tegaderms held up like a dream. There has been zero iritation and the tattoo appears to be coming along like a dream. Tegaderm in my opinion is leaps and bounds better than saniderm. It's thinner with better adhesive and more stretch.
I'll keep everyone up to date once I take it off. As of now I stand behind reapplying adhesive if the situation calls for it.

Hey everyone, I'm just looking for some advice on a good forearm tattoo. I already have a rock of ages on my right forearm that you might have seen and I'm trying to figure out what to get on the other arm. One design I particularly like is this classic sailor jerry pinup, but let me hear your ideas!
EDIT: I've also though about getting some kind of dagger. What do you guys think?

Hello everyone. I'm Rhys from South Wales... Awseome website and some real nice tattoos in the galleries. My heads been all over the place lately on what to have done next. I've had a lot of tattoos over the years some good some bad, I had a Chinese tribal dragon on my right arm from the shoulder to my elbow which I had three laser treatments and is barely visible now.
I have a pretty big three welsh feathers and dragon on my back which I do like, but wouldn't mind having it covered up. I had it when I was twenty (15 years ago) young and stupid. I'm just wondering if It is possible to cover up, even if it was just brought back to life a bit with some changes. I really like the Celtic look and I'm having a sleeve done possibly like the pic included. Also included is some tattoo pics which I would love to have on my back if covering over my old tattoo wasn't to much of a problem.

yes ! you answered your own question IMO,
sleep good and don't drink alcohol the night before (or the day of),
pre-hydrate the day before and day of and while being tattooed,(water or Gatorade)
eat a good non greasy healthy meal right before getting tattooed,
bring candy (I bring M&M's and Skittles) to eat during the tattoo(the sugar will keep you from passing out),I also bring a banana, beef jerky, and a few cold bottles of water in a little ice chest(no artist has ever minded me doing this,as a matter of fact they have liked it).
keeping up body sugars, potassium, and electrolytes will help to keep you from passing out ,
get yourself mentally in a good place.in the days leading up to and during the tattoo.
ask for a few 5 min breaks to stand up ,stretch, and get the kinks out.
this all helps me have a better overall tattoo experience, and the artist will appreciate it too.

I don't have any coverups, but I have a tattoo that has been reworked. In terms of being tattooed I could feel the difference between areas that had lost a bunch of color (slightly scar tissue) and areas that didn't really loose any. It did feel slightly more stingy after it was done and during the first day, but it went away fairly quick so I didn't think anything of it. I got 2 tattoos (1 new) that day and they healed just the same.

Nobody worth being tattooed by will laugh you out of their shop, specially not for that tattoo. There are waaaaay worse tattoos out there, trust me. I have worse tattoos than that!! I still think your best bet is to consult with the artist you'd want to cover it...

Had one on my forearm lasered three times to lighten and then a cover-up of the same design, but executed very well this time. Pain, healing, etc. were easier if anything. Now, she did try to stay away from the raised (keloid, I guess) scar from the first artist's over-work (that had caused blowout that he in turn just darkened worse). I go back next week for adding color (not much, but to make it pop more).

littlefox1970 reacted to Devious6 in Do some parts of a tattoo take longer to heal?
You are not even close to being healed. Each of us heal differently and certain areas of a tattoo may heal at different rates and ways. It may be your skin, it may be the specific type and color of ink, it may be the aftercare and if you might have spread the lotion a bit thicker in one place or another, it may be..............................................................(fill in the blank). A full heal is at least a 6 moth process and, even though every one of us wants it to be faster and be finished, our skin just takes time to heal the wound you've inflicted on it.
Relax, don't over apply lotion - once or twice a day is enough because your skin needs air to heal - and enjoy it. It's just going to take some time before you'll see it in its fully healed glory!

That's a sweet lil ride there Devious ... I'm a little person so always had something like this in mind for myself.  Who knows, maybe I'll win the lotto or something. :)

Luckily I've never met any "Bubbas" ... let's hope I never do.

Seems we become more protective of life and limb as we age.  My plans to skydive, for example, have flown out the window ... lol ... bucket list is getting shorter every day! :D

I also stopped riding a motorcycle for the safety reasons. I was stationed out in Oklahoma when I had my bike and "Bubbas" thought it was great fun to slide up alongside me and then edge me off the road. And, there are way too many distracted drivers....and deer here in northeast PA.
This was way back before cell phones in 1983.

I hear you ... the creature comforts definitely seem to increase in charm with each passing year. :)

The age of smartphones and texting has really brought driving to perilous levels ... It's like having 80% of drivers on the road DUI. Trust no one is basically my motto.

Well, there's a time for everything ... as long as you're happy then it's all good, right? :)

Hehehe ... I think only one other person on this site , besides you, knows I'm a female ... I'm glad that's not me too ... that 5 o'clock shadow could be downright embarrassing! :D

Hard to shake the fever once you get it ... Any particular reason you stopped riding?

Here in Quebec we are legally restricted from riding from december 15th to march 15th ... coinciding with the winter tire laws for cars.

I drive a PGO T-Rex Scooter.  I would love to upgrade to a motorcycle but just can't afford upwards of 2000$ a year in insurance ...

Here are a couple photos of the model I drive ... the driver is NOT ME but I have no photos of me on my scoot right now.

    Do you ride?

Nice looking lid. I wear an HJC ISMax with Sena Bluetooth headset. My Symax as well as all of my other gear was destroyed in August in a 49 mph get-off in interstate traffic. Gear does work!

Was just thinking when I got home today that I might just ride (20 miles) to work tomorrow. I have heated jacket liner and gloves, so it is cheating a bit, I guess. 2006 GL1800 GoldWing.
