  1. As requested here are a couple of photos of my Chris Garver tiger.
  2. Sure man. I will try and do it sometime today.

  3. Any idea how many hours you have left? You must be getting pretty close to being finished.
  4. Maybe my sense of humour is really immature, but the last sentence of this post could be taken a variety of ways.
  5. Your body and mind start to betray you around hour five. Hours six, seven, and eight are a combination of euphoria, despair, and enlightenment.
  6. I think that they pretty much always have time for walk-ins. There are a couple of different locations so I am sure someone can get you in. I would not expect Mike Wilson to have time, but everyone there is incredible. Mike Bruce does some of the best shit out there, and the rest of the tattooers there are all very good. Also they have a ton of guest artists coming and going.
  7. You and I both have a tiger from Garver. It is a great club to be in.
  8. If you have a half-sleeve, and now you want to bring it down to 3/4 then you will eventually want it down to a full-sleeve. Going from half to 3/4 doesn't give the tattooer much to work with. One of my first tattoos was a 3/4 sleeve, and within a year I wanted to bring it down to full, but it took me nearly eight years to do so. The guys at Redemption are awesome so getting good work won't be a problem for you.
  9. Great tattoos. The vampire lady is perfect.
  10. I was tattooed by Chris almost ten years ago. He is a great guy, and a large part of my love for tattoos comes from getting tattooed by him. If you can make it happen don't hesitate.
  11. Pok Pok is really good, but I think that Lemongrass is the best Thai I have ever had.
  12. Harry Crews has a short scene in the documentary "Searching for the Wrong Eyed Jesus". I was not a huge fan of the movie, but it has a couple of cool parts in it, and Harry Crews is one of them. I was born and raised in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia so I am usually disappointed by any films or books about the south. They rarely seem to be anything other than a cliched view of the region. Crews, however, is an exception. If you like him you should also look up Breece Pancake. He only wrote a handful of short stories before he killed himself, but the stories are very good, and very true to the region. I recently read "The Sisters Brothers",and really enjoyed it. It is kind of a Jim Thompson style western that will almost certainly be made into a movie. Read the book first before they start casting the movie.
  13. When are in June are you getting tattooed by Matt? I will probably be down there sometime in June, but haven't made the plans yet. What are you getting?
  14. My wife and I got tattooed by Matt Arriola yesterday. The tiger was three sittings, but only took about three and a half hours.
  15. You have only had the tattoo for a few weeks. Give it some time to settle in and for you to get used to having it before you start changing it up.
  16. Awesome. Chris is nice guy, and super fun to get tattooed by.
  17. I really dig this thing. I told you on Instagram already, but I am getting a Kali on the 12th from Matt Arriola. I asked him to get kinda of crazy with it so I don't know what to expect.
  18. Lester Garcia in New Orleans, Walter Mcdonald and Sky James in Denver, Sean Baltzell in St. Louis
  19. If I lived in Kentucky and wanted traditional Japanese work I would go to Brian Bruno. It is a shorter drive than going to New York. Richmond is a cheaper city to stay hang out in for a couple of days. And I think that Brian is an incredible tattooer.
  20. I doubt that you will be rushed. Dreyfus, the shop guy, that booked you in is really good at his job. He was very helpful when I got tattooed by Steve about a month ago. I was only in Austin for four days with limited time to get tattooed, and he worked it out for me. Also I got tattooed by Tony when he was visiting Seattle, and he is pretty fast. They are all very professional. I am sure you will get what you want as long as your expectations are within reason. Which I am sure they are.
  21. http://tattooroadtrip.com/blog/category/zeke-owen/ Here is a link to all of the letters that Zeke wrote for Skin and Ink. I thought I had posted this on the forum before, but maybe not.
  22. I am glad I checked into this thread. It reminded me to check in on your OV blog. I am also glad that you posted that Higgs mash-up from R.H. Wells. I had mentioned it somewhere else on LST, but that thing is incredible.
  23. "If you don't want me tattooing in my home then teach me." That sounds like blackmail. I try not to hurl insults on the internet, but after reading your posts on this subject I am a little annoyed. I don't have an opinion one way or the other about people getting apprenticeships. Every individual circumstance is different. I do however have a problem with people thinking they deserve something just because they want it. I am not sure why you think you are owed an apprenticeship, but until you get over that entitled attitude then I am certain you do not deserve one.
