I think they care... about quality tattoos more than your fragile psyche.

Exactly. Thank you.

Best of luck to you. You are the problem and I hope you take my advice. I can’t stress that enough. Get the mental help you need. (A lot of it). You really are insane. You’ll never be happy with the way you’re going. -
You are insane. Don’t continue getting tattoos. Just. STOP. You are CLEARLY micromanaging. If artist like her are “burning out” it’s because of clients like you. YOU are the problem not her. I’m done. Have fun never being happy.

As far as the artist: Nah, life's too short to put up with bullshit, especially when I'm sure there's plenty of talented artists near you who'd be happy to give you a much more positive experience in exchange for your money.
This goes both ways. If you’re a pain in the ass client, micromanaging a professional with 20 years of experience, don’t expect a ton of pleasantries. You have to give the artist some degree of freedom to do their thing if you want the best result. Especially on something like placement where the artist more than likely knows best. The placement and lines look about as good as possible so the fact that she’s finding “flaws” tells me she’s not going to be happy with any result from any artist. No tattoo is perfect. No person is perfect. No skin is perfect. If you go expecting perfection you will be let down every time. At this point, it’s a favor to the artist to not go back.

You said you wanted “thoughts and advice harsh or not just hit you with some f***ing truth”. Don’t ask for it if you can’t handle it. You’ve got my thoughts and advice now so do with it what you want. Just keep in mind we are not therapists. If you are truly having “SOS” anxiety, seek help from someone/someplace more equipped to help with that. Best of luck!

I’m going to 100% stick to my earlier comments. I’ll also add that you had multiple opportunities based on what you are saying to back out before the needle touched your skin. If you were that anxious before the tattoo why would you go through with it? Nobody forced you to go through with it. A lost deposit is an easier pill to swallow than a tattoo you don’t like. Feel free to reach out to other shops and see if they will finish it for you. Be prepared for some no’s, a lot of artist don’t want to touch another’s work. Maybe you should have a formal sit down interview with the next artist to see if they are good enough to tattoo you.

Haha no judgement here! Got my first at 18! Still one of my favorites although it is covered now
If he’s got Saniderm or something like that on it he should be okay. Just keep it out of the sun and try not to let it get rubbed too much.

Damn 17 is young!
I generally don’t work out until it’s gotten past the initial healing stages. You don’t want to rub against a fresh tattoo and rip scabs off or continue to irritate it. Keep it out of the sun for sure. And limit friction against it. Derm bandages help but if it’s been open to the air I probably wouldn’t cover it now that fresh.

My honest advice for you going forward is to bring this entire process to a screeching halt. Cancel your upcoming appointments and just let the money for the deposit go. Reading through that book that you posted, it is clear that it’s more than just an issue with this particular artist/tattoo. See a therapist. Do not continue getting tattooed until you can truly accept that nothing in this world is perfect. Tattoos are not for highly anxious and perfectionist people. Tattoos have become too mainstream where anybody thinks they can go get one and if it’s not “Instagram perfect” then it keeps them up at night. It used to be that people with tattoos generally didn’t care so much what everyone else thought. Now there is an influx of people that seem to be doing it only for the likes or the praise of others. Get good tattoos that you want and you like and forget about the rest.

I’ll repost it, feel kinda conflicted cause I posted that the dude literally posted every other tattoo I’m sure he’s done except mine, makes me feel like he’s not proud of it tbh
And then I asked him about it and he F***ing left me on read on Insta
i don’t have an even remotely large social media presence and I don’t get tattooed for insta likes but it’s just lame as shit to do that
Like if it’s a bad photo bro just tell me or something It’s not the end of the world but leaving me on read is lame ass shit
Part of the tattooing experience for me is having an enjoyable time and talking to the artist and don’t get me wrong I like the piece but it just kind of taints the experience somewhat, wanted to get more work from the dude but now he’s not going to get my business again
artist is @benoztattoos...
It’s his Instagram..... He can post or not post whatever he wants and he doesn’t need to justify or explain it to you. If you like it then leave it alone and enjoy it. What’s lame is pestering someone the way you are over something so trivial... At this point, you not giving him anymore business is probably a favor to him.

Also, one more quick question hog rider relating to lightening it up. I know chemicals or home remedies such as lemon juice wouldn't be nearly as effective as laser I'm assuming? Would they more effective if I started using them to try and lighten it up before the skin starts growing back and before the black-out phase starts healing? As of right now I'm only in about day 3 since I started the black-out. But it has considerably lightened since the photo of it where it still looked deep and shiny.
Am I understanding you right? You want to put chemicals and/or lemon juice on a healing tattoo? I wouldn’t entertain that thought any further unless you want to cover scars as well. You should be consulting with your artist and let them set a timeline. If you need lasering and want a full sleeve, a year probably isn’t reasonable.

If that looks like a penis then mine must look weird.

You’ll have to go to an artist for pricing anyone here would just be guessing. The person doing the tattoo will probably draw it up as close as possible to the mold and you can decide if it’s good enough.

I don’t know that they would have to or even would. For a tattoo that small it wouldn’t surprise me if they just went over the whole thing again to keep it even. Talk to your artist and let them make the decision to go over the entire thing or not. Also let them decide if you should wait longer before the touch up. There is no reason to think it would heal any faster.

The artist will more than likely go over the whole thing. It will probably take longer to set up than to execute it. I’d give it another month to heal before hitting it again so that the deeper layers of skin have a chance to fully heal. If it’s a free touch up still tip.

A lot of people with the same issue. I wonder if it has to do with ink color and saturation. I tried my wife’s series 3 and the 5 I bought and both had the same issue. Works on non tattooed wrists but not on my sleeve.

Just a heads up to anyone with sleeves or heavily tattooed wrists - the Apple Watch may not work correctly for you. I had to return mine because the sensors would not work through my tattoos.

I tend to be super observant
This usually doesn’t work well with tattoos.
