  1. It takes at least 3-4 weeks for most tattoos to heal and for you to see what you've really got. As long as those circled spots don't get hot with inflamed skin you should be ok. They might just be where the scab got knocked off or something. Aside from that, you're just going to have to be patient and let it finish healing.

    Hello

    looks like a solid shop!
  3. I know it's not a case of thick ink. Aside from that, you're right - I don't know.

    Hello

    Welcome! Where are you working?
  5. One of the good points about saniderm is covering the wound while it is still fresh and CLEAN. I don't know anyone who has put it on after 2-3 days but if you trap ANY dirt or bacteria under it you are literally laying an infection nest. I wouldn't do it. Not sure where on your body the tattoo is, and 3 days into healing it shouldn't really still be oozing - but possibly cover it with a very clean t-shirt or similar and if it's still stuck to that in the morning then use warm water to disengage and then gently clean with antibacterial soap.
  6. No, it doesn't work like that. And for what it's worth, in my eyes - it doesn't look "wrong". Aside from the link in the previous thread, I've never done any research on Keloid scarring. Check that subject out. If it bothers you that much, perhaps see a dermatologist.

  8. Might work. Would depend on the artist, of course. The branch couldn't be too simple or it'll just become an unknown floating object.
  9. Indeed. In my eyes there nothing "too feminine" about a commemorative tattoo for a female subject.

    and just like that . . .
  11. Looks great. Unlikely that people are going to see chicken feet when they see under your sleeve. Besides, the likelihood that this will be your only ink on that arm is pretty small in the long run . . . 😁

Have not. Is this being done in a licensed shop?
  13. Yes. Sorry about your brother. The tattoo is going to remind you of him regardless of what image you ultimately settle on, so the subject matter isn't really that important to the reasoning. In the US, dreamcatchers have reached a cliche status. Not sure how they are viewed in the tattoo world in Slovenia. In my mind a lizard is a way more interesting image - but this isn't my tattoo, either. Your emphasis should be picking the right artist. There are numerous threads here that go over the do's and don'ts on that subject. Check them out and post us a link to the tattooist you intend to go with.

    Warm tatoo

Agreed. I wouldn't worry about it unless it get inflamed or is painful.
  15. Basis going on your arm I'd use the non-roses version and make it as large as possible. Or you could use the roses and do it on your chest!

    Tattoo cloudy

You can't pull ink out unless you're lifting scabs, and that's not happening with your tattoo. The above looks normal for a tattoo that still needs at least 3 more weeks of healing time.
  17. ankles and feet always take longer to heal. doesn't look like anything to worry about.
  18. like children. loved each in it's own way, and some are just painful lessons 🤪
  19. Absolutely. That's precisely what the consult is for. You bring your needs and desires to the table (including references like the above, along with potential images you'd like reproduced) and the two of you discuss the possibilities. Diplomatically describe what you prefer out of his general body of work. That being said - the lighter your tattoo starts out the even lighter it's going to be years from now. Contrast now will show image definition much better as the tattoo ages.
  20. my initial question would be = are the other images "bad" because of subject matter, style or execution? Lots of artists work in more than 1 style - that's versatility. Subject matter is most often up to the canvas. If the other photos show poor application, poor linework or poor artistic choices then you'd be taking a huge gamble that this person is going to show up just the way you want them to on the day you're sitting in front of them. Some dirtbags even put other artist's work in their own portfolios. Consistency is very important.
