  1. I wasn't comparing damage cause by being torn up by pavement to typical skin ware and tear. All I'm meaning is if you have an area of skin thats exercising more than others, that kind of movement can factor into how it can age since the cells in your skin would moving, and flexing, and stretching more often. Is that so big of a deal that you should take precaution against day to day ware? Like I said, it's not worth worrying about.
  2. Hey Wsda! First of all congrats on your new tattoo! What did you end up getting? Second, friction can affect a tattoo overtime. That's why things like finger, palm, and sometimes ankle can feet tattoo are prone to fading much more quickly. There will be a lot of things that can cause your tattoo to fade, and no matter what it will fade with age. I don't think the arm sleeve would hurt it any more, but I wouldn't obsess with it too much. Just take care of it, keep it and your self hydrated and moisturized, and remember you can always get it touched up in the years to come!
  3. Hey Jacob! As, again, is mentioned above it's going to take a few weeks before you see how your tattoo is healed. The milkiness is normal and should fade with time. As long as you're not experiencing any signs of infection just keep taking care of it as your artist instructed and your tattoo should be just fine. Your tattoo looks great by the way! Congrats on the new ink!
  4. Wow, I think that’s insane he had the gall to pull that. That’s definitely not cool especially if you didn’t know about it. The dude SHOULD fix that with no charge. If he gets offended that’s on him- he’s definitely in the wrong here I supposed there’s always the legal route too

I don’t feel like I’ve really considered eye tattoos to really be... tattoos. It seems more like a body modification in the way piercings and such would be. People can do whatever they want, but if I had a friend who expressed serious interest in that I would try very hard to convince them otherwise. Your eyes are so sensitive, I don’t know how cool a modification could be if it could irreversibly damage your eyesight. Black out tattoos on the other hand- I don’t know! I feel like I’ve seem some really cool photos of people when them. I do wonder how much those photos are staged to look Instagram perfect vs. the difficulty of actually getting on and having to get it touched up in places it may have healed patchy. I’d personally be sad to do it, because I really like the illustrative aspect of tattoos that’s always been the appeal of it for me!
  6. Hey everyone! First time posting but won’t be the last! I was curious if anyone here might have an idea what I might have happening on my new tattoo- It’s about two and a half weeks old now, but all the areas colored with red are really textured. It feels kinda like the skin is leathery (I hesitate to say scaly). There isn’t any issues with it being raised or painful (though it was much more tender than any of the other parts of the tattoo for much longer) When it was fresh it burned quite a bit, and it looked exceptionally raw compared to any of the other areas of the tattoo. In the next few days it looked like there were uniform white spots/bumps formed under those areas, which thankfully have now faded. I would have chalked this up to be being a fresh tattoo, but the rest of the ink didn’t feel that way. It’s not my first tattoo- but I’ve never had a, reaction? Like this before. I have red ink in my other tattoos, so I wasn’t sure if this was maybe a mild allergic reaction to a different brand of ink? Every place I could search online only talked about or showed super major skin reactions / scaring / infections so I really haven been able to guess what did, is, happening exactly. I'm not as freaked out about it now as I was before. That’s come and gone, and it doesn’t appear the tattoo is damaged at all which was my biggest concern haha. Just wanted to see if anyone had any guesses what might have happened or had similar experiences. If this is something sounds like it should go away over time, if theres something I should do to remedy it, or maybe if I should have any concerns about.
