That scaly skin is typical of an allergic reaction to the ink. Typically the skin will go back to normal, but it can take quite a while. If you find it bothersome I’d see a dermatologist.

    Thank you!

  2. This tattoo is a little over a year old and had to have it touched up twice, the most recent being back in April. I have noticed these brown marks on and around the tattoo and it has been like this for a few months. Also the skin around the tattoo used to have this same brown color that washed off and it was noticeably a different color compared to the rest of my skin. What do I need to do in this case? I have been using lotion daily and nothing has changed.

    Thanks!

take it off, wash it with anti-microbial soap,  re-apply some more saniderm,or just keep it clean and lotion it a couple times  a day.

I personally would not let that liquid sit on it like that. I usually apply saniderm about 24 hours after the tattoo work.

Ok thank you. I called the artist and he said I can take it off Thursday but not to wash or do anything to it until then.

  4. I got my tattoo touched up yesterday and was told to keep the Saniderm wrap on for five days. There’s a good amount of blood as you can see in the picture. Is this normal or should I try and wash it? Thanks!

  5. I got this tattoo back in November. I had it touched up in mid-December from the same artist and it still looks like this. You can see on the “N” that it almost looks like my skin is coming through the ink on the right side. Is it time to get it touched up for a third time but by a different artist? The missed ink is very noticeable. Thanks for your help!

it looks totally normal to me for 3 weeks old, try a little Aveeno on it a couple times a day.

that milkyness will go away, that's the top layer of your skin that's causing that. Even though the peeling stopped,

that should go away by 6 weeks.

    Great, thank you!

  7. Hey everyone,

I’ts been a little over 3 weeks since I got my wrist tattoo. As you can see in my picture there are some spots on the “Y” that almost look like you can see the skin underneath. Are these spots going to be blue like the rest in a few weeks or is this concerning? Thanks for your help.
