  1. It was my first tattoo so I didn't know. I've got other text which is bigger and wider and looks 100% fine after 2 years. So the size of it must play a part too. I have seen some cover ups of black text on the internet so shouldn't be a problem.
  2. Anyone had a cover up on text before ? Or would it be best to ask a tattooist in future if it gets more blurry ?
  3. I think it looks nice and colourful but that's just me
  4. I think it looks good. Even in the picture you highlighted I can barely see anything wrong with it
  5. I have a small tattoo from 2 years ago in writing, it's about 2 inchs in length and it looks slightly blurrier than when I first had it. It's legible now but... I'd assume over the next few years it will become more blurry. Is it difficult to get a cover-up on black and grey script/text ? It looks slightly lighter in real. Got a before and after picture too. Just after it was done. I did have a touch-up on it a few weeks after it was done. That may be why the original picture looks slightly different Now
  6. The light spot seems to have disappeared now. Thanks !
  7. Hi ! Had my tattoo's about 10 days ago and really happy. Funny enough they are the same tattoos, both on my wrists however only one itched. Anyway. I seem to be coming out of the scabbing phase but one part is bothering me, it looks slightly lighter than the rest.. Is there a chance i'd need a touch up at some point ? I've circled the area with a blue bubble.
  8. I think they all look good to be honest
  9. I've had the new tattoo's on the inside, went well. Should I get the old ones touched up ASAP so they match, or can it wait a month or so ? Thanks
  10. OK so the tattoo went perfectly. We found the old design on the internet. Took a bit of adjusting the width to get it to join the old one. Did sting a fair bit more than all my others but it was enjoyable.
  11. Best way to prevent itchiness ? Cold water seems to help, just concerned I may scratch during the night. Cut my fingernails etc. I tend to use Bepanthen. I used it very lightly for all my previous tattoos and they all healed fine. It's fragrance and colour free etc.
  12. OK I'm just confused because the new tattoos will need to be smaller in size due to lack of space on my inner forearm from other tattoos ? If he traces the original tattoos they'll be too big
  13. I currently have the same design on both of the outside of my wrists from years back. I want the same design, but smaller on the inside of my wrists. My artist said he will " Stencil " the old tattoo so I have the same one on both wrists. What exactly does " Stenciling " involve ? I think they use an iPad.. does it mean he'll take a photo of my current one, stencil round it, then print it off and use it as a transfer ? Thx
  14. Alright thanks 😄 Just got a bit concerned about some sort of involuntary jerking of my arm as the tendons are quite close. Maybe i'm worrying about it too much
  15. My artist used to say wait until it's healed then get a touch up if you have to. It shouldn't be difficult to correct anything you're not happy with. At a glance, it looks perfect. As @Hogrider said, every tattoo has it's flaws.
  16. OK so should I make sure the artist is pressing down hard on my hand so it cannot jerk about and move? Not all. I have a design on my outer wrist which I want continued all the way around like a sleeve so it goes to my inner wrist too. I thought it would be an idea once I've had it, to get the outer wrist touched up to make it look like one whole piece. I suppose I could wait and see how much it fades over a couple of months, if it fades enough to blend in then I will leave it. Surely there's nothing wrong with a touch-up as I've had them before ?
  17. I used to post here years back but my account seem to have been deleted, anyway here's three questions regarding tattoos. Firstly. I may have two inner wrist tattoos soon ( the boney bit before you get to the hand ) -- Is it a painful spot ? I have some on the outer wrist and could barely feel it.. Is there any chance the artist could tickle a nerve or tendon and make my arm jerk ? My last tattoos were two years ago, and i've recently had a few more, the new ones look bolder and darker than the older ones. So would it be a good idea to get a touch up on the old ones so they match the colour of the new ones ? They're all black and grey Thanks!
  18. What is the inside of the wrist like ? I've had some on the outside of the wrist by my hand and could barely feel it
