  1. yeah, that's not exactly the only thing wrong with those pictures
  2. also cause so many people around the globe do it so badly.. it can be some of the best stuff to have tattooed on you if you go to the right people.. alot of people think of a spiky blob on someones arm when they think 'tribal', unfortunately.
  3. some totally moronic girl i used to know, and her friend, decided it was a great idea to tattoo their fingers whilst drunk - with a kitchen knife.
  4. bus, then coach, then underground - and then the same, but backwards (obviously!) about 6 hours of travel in total - to Frith Street. it's amazing how lazy some people are when it comes to doing basic travel to get the best tattoo.. obviously some people *aren't* lazy like that.. the few people you ever see with good tattoos, normally.
  5. bus, then coach, then underground - 3 hours or so (one way). to Frith Street. it's amazing how lazy some people are when it comes to doing basic travel to get the best tattoo.. obviously some people *aren't* lazy like that.. the few people you ever see with good tattoos, normally.
  6. it's true. it amazes me how some people just get tattooed by anyone (cheap and local is the requirement for some). someone i know in australia "couldn't be bothered" to wait for four months for a great tattooer to go over there to work - this person also once got an infection from getting tattooed in someones living room - trying to 'help' people with this kind of thing is like banging your head against a wall sometimes - i just don't bother anymore.
  7. i think it really makes sense to start with the upper arms, working downwards.. stopping at the hand.. getting your front, back, and legs.. then, if you really think you can live with it - hands, neck, face/head. i'll almost certainly never get my hands/neck, etc, done.. just going on to my forearms will be something to really think about for me.
  8. the first time i saw someone getting tattooed was when a friend and i were at the festival put on by the hells angels, we were both 17, he got the lines of the black flag 'bars'.. even though it was only 6 years ago i can't really remember it that well.. but i'm almost certain it was essentially in the back of a caravan.. there was a whole row of people doing that (again, .. i *think* that's what it was).. i didn't get one.. it was also the first day of the festival, he didn't have any aftercare items, and spent every penny he took for food for the next three days on it.. the first time i got tattooed was at frith street, so it was great.
  9. life would be much simpler if i wanted black work, as Curly's about half an hour away from me, and one of the best. - Curly Tattoomonger
  10. i have this from Chad Koeplinger (the picture is 'backwards' as i had to take it in a mirror) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euu24Te1WKQ

  12. walking to the shower, the tattoo was on the inside of my upper arm, so i had my arm pressed against my side trying to hide it, but just a little bit was still visible, my mum with a look of extreme horror on her face said "WHAT'S THAT?!", i said "a tattoo", we just kind of looked at each other in silence for about 10 seconds, i walked into the room with the shower in and she *slammed* the door behind me. she soon calmed down thankfully. tattoo's are still now refered to as "things", such as, when they're still healing.. it will be "how's your... thing..?"..
  13. who did this? looks great. my fortune teller girl head from Chad Koeplinger, looks not quite right as i had to kind of bend my arm a bit whilst taking the picture.. would also be contributing to the panther head and rose threads with said tattoos from Chad, but they're not yet finished.
