Just set up an appointment for Mike Wilson to start my front in March. Now for the longest 2 months ever...
If anyone has any advice for navigating Jacksonville, could you help me out in this thread?

bumping this thread for advice.
I just set up an appointment at the Inksmith, 3rd street/jacksonville beach location. What is the best/cheapest route there from the airport? I was thinking about renting a car because the transit route according to google maps was 2.5 hours long, kinda intimidating. But on a closer look, it looks like it's only 2 different long subway (or bus?) routes, the JIA 1 train, then the Rosa Parks M train, so maybe its not that hard.

I've also seen Jenna's work up close over the years, she's done several tattoos on one of my best friends and was a friend of my old bandmates (she's originally from our city). I will concur her work definately has that handmade look, but her stuff stands out as very professional in comparison to the hipster DIY tattoo-party crap you tend to see all over. I believe she's put in a lot of effort and heart travelling the world and learning the style/tech that she executes. I'd like to get a small tattoo from her one day if the opportunity comes, more for the collector element - both receiving a stick/poke and getting tattooed by a woman (which I haven't yet). She seems to get back to Edmonton every couple of years...
This bud of mine with the stick/poke collection said he likes the silence of it, it's therapeutic for him. I am completely opposite, heavy hands and fucking loud machines are what get me off.
me too

Currently on my nyc tat-cation. First up was Eli Quinters. Next is Hillary Fisher White.
When I first got to jfk airport, I was charging my phone at an outgoing terminal and the loudspeaker guy at the desk was listing people that needed to come see him and named Richard Stell. Didn't see him though.

You might have to scroll through his feed awhile because it's a lot of traditional stuff too.

Got this from Greg Christian at Tattoo Faction about a month ago
and these from Tomas Garcia at Old Soul last weekend.
all stolen from their IGs @Gregchristian4130 and @tomas_garcia
I used to complain about not being in a great tattoo city like NYC, but being a 2 hour drive from cleveland and pittsburgh isn't really too bad.

A lot of these back pieces with background and stuff seem to go all the way up to the tops of shoulders, although i can't really be sure from the pictures. Do you think getting work on top of your shoulders, for instance the old dagger through the neck, would interfere with getting a full back piece?

None of these are on me, but L.M. Knight deserves to be in any thread about frogs.

People should argue some more about whether Myke Chambers is good or not. That sounds fun to read

Thanks @Synesthesia and @beez! I had appointments with Eli and Dan Santoro at Smith Street but the Dan appointment got double booked and I ended up getting the quick butterfly walk-in from Steve instead. And since I had planned a bigger tattoo I took my left over money and went to Rose Tattoo Parlour and got that walk-in with Dan Nelson. Pretty glad I did because that is one of my favorite tattoos I have and the appointment was a lot of fun. Definitely recommend that shop!
side note: does anyone know why the "insert picture from your tattoo gallery" button is dimmed and inclickable for me?

Not exactly medical care, but I wasn't allowed to donate plasma today because of the tattoo on my arm ditch. They had to consult practically every person working there to decide but eventually turned me away.
They didn't explain to me why exactly it was a problem, but one worker said to the other something about if there was a bruise or reaction, they wouldn't be able tell..or something? My veins are huge and obvious-I think they just suck at their jobs.
Painfully coincidental since I was just trying to make a few extra bucks to spend on more tattoos haha.

Went to NYC for the first time and got this from Eli Quinters.
I also got a lady head from Steve Boltz, which I am in love with, but all the pictures I tried to take were shit. Maybe I'll try again when it's healed...or maybe I'll just keep it to myself.

I love this. I'm curious about what you asked him for. I need something from Eddy but the best ones he posts are always things i would never have thought of. Like the goldfish with the kappa inside someone posted recently.
