Got this little beauty at the NB HubCity Tattoo con one week ago.
A little hotstuff by Sailor Jerry Swallow, Canada's oldest tattooer. He was taught by Charlie Snow, who was taught by F.A Baldwin, who is arguably one of the first tattooers in Canada. He has the title of Hori from Horihide (Yes, that Horihide) and has been tattooing for over 50 years. He knew all the greats personally. Worked with Malone, Zeke, Jack, Irons, Huck, and all the others. Said Norman Collins was an asshole and Hardy was disrespectful. haha
Funny thing is, the lady who wanted to get a tattoo before me didn't even know who he was and wanted to get a tribal design out of a magazine. haha

You were right--this was of interest to me. Beautiful work, but it brought back some painful memories.

Finally got some half-way decent healed photos of my Hooper musician leg.
On the other hand, trying to paste together such a single photo is near impossible, at least for an old geezer like me.

Awesome weekend at the London Convention. There were some awesome tattoos walking around and being created, not least on some LSTers. Congratulations to everyone that got some work. Everything I have seen so far looks great. I didn't get anything big or dramatic this weekend. Just this little guy by Len Leye at Clan of Tusk in Belgium. Really nice guy and fun time getting tattooed. It you don't know his work then check out his instagram.

Thanks dude! It's definitely up there as one of my favourite pieces, might even be in the number 1 spot. Tony is a beast and i'm really happy i got something from him, was awesome fun spending a few hours in the booth with him and Thomas Hooper, they're both really nice guys and kept me laughing all day.

Just got my confirmation from Tony Hundahl so i'm now a definite for the Friday. Looking forward to seeing anyone who's around from LST!

Got this from Hector Fong yesterday at Tattoo 13. Always wanted something from him, and walk-in Saturday showed up, when I had some extra cash. I took this photo at BART. Looked like a weirdo, but sunlight makes for easier tattoo photo's, I've found.

This weekend I took a big step in my tattoo journey. I now have a "highly-visible in every day life" tattoo on the inside of my forearm.

Got a new one yesterday, done by Valerie Vargas at Modern Classic from some Ed Hardy flash.

Well, now that PAX is over and I've had two days to sleep it off, I can get around to doing internet stuff.
@beez and I had a super fun time hanging out at Liberty a bit ago, because we decided we should probably go and get tattoos. Here is mine, by Christopher Ayalin:

Saturday night, went to see Motorhead for probably the last time. Fun and sad at the same time as Lem seems every bit of his hard lived 69 years of age. I've seen them almost 20 times and this was kind of a teary goodbye for me.......

My appointments are officially booked. Beau Brady on saturday and Josh Arment on sunday. Only a few short weeks to go now!
